November 10, 201014 yr Author Hey Everyone! How’s it going?? So… I just wanted to fill you guys in…I’m done with my 4th record!!! Well, actually I have been done for a year… and now my record company have finally decided to release it. OMG..How nice! Thanks guys. I have been dying to get back out on the road and do what I love the most… PLAY MUSIC. I know you guys have been waiting for a long time…..and so have I, but not by choice. I have been sitting with this record for a year now. It’s really special to me. I have produced a couple tracks alone for the first time, written solo, with friends, I have pushed myself and I feel proud. In saying all that, this has been a really difficult record for me to create and to release. Not only is this the most meaningful and special record I have written, it is sincere, honest and close to my heart. But for the first time I experienced a bunch of bureaucratic BS. People do their best work when they are doing what they want, love and is natural for them, not when you are forcing them to be something that they are not. From the beginning of my career my message has always been to be yourself and stand up for what you believe in. Follow your heart. My first single off this record is called: “What The Hell”. This song is the least personal song to me off this album. It’s a fun and funny anthem. It has a broad message about personal freedom. It is the most pop track on the record. I am shooting the video in 2 weeks and it will be out in January. I have been extremely busy designing Abbey Dawn and taking the line internationally for the first time, establishing “The Avril Lavigne Foundation” and focusing on my personal happiness and health. Balance! Love you guys! xo Avril
November 10, 201014 yr Sounds like this era is going to be disaster then. Not really, this could be her My December.
November 10, 201014 yr Author ...a disaster then. Sales-wise, yes (unfortunately). I forget is Avril on RCA? If so, shes doomed with this record. But MD was an amazing album despite what the majority say
November 10, 201014 yr ...a disaster then. I was JUST about to say that     oh i really laughed out loud there! I was wondering where Avril disappeared off to! I guess this new song was one the record label made her record and release then....doesnt sound very promising!
November 11, 201014 yr ...a disaster then. She has already sold herself out musically in order to sell (TBDT), now it's her time to shine.
November 11, 201014 yr She has already sold herself out musically in order to sell (TBDT), now it's her time to shine. Yes exactly. Now i'm not normally a huge fan of female pop artists, but I have a soft spot for Avril. TBDT was a great pop album, ok maybe she shouldn't have made it, but she sold out herself...I can't have much sympathy for her. My December was bloody awful, there were a couple of really good tracks, but there was a reason it flopped. Her new album will most likely go the same way. I don't think her record label have much faith it in, or will show much faith in her during this era really...
November 12, 201014 yr The Best Damn Thing a great album? Really? It has one good song and that was Hot. Every other song was a boring, forgettable combo of profound lyrics like 'HEY HEY YOU YOU', 'HEY YOU! HEY YOU!', 'HEY! HEY!' and bog standard pop rock beats.
November 12, 201014 yr ^Actual rubbish but whatevs. I'm a bit confused why her record company would WANT her to release new material in January (typically the lowest sales period of the year) instead of before christmas (typically the highest sales period of the year). It seems like the record company actually WANT her to flop so they can rid of her, which sucks the most. She needs to moved labels.
November 12, 201014 yr She's not a big enough name anymore to stand a chance in the Q4 release schedule madness. Launching in Jan/Feb is a much sounder idea. See also Kelly Clarkson with All I Ever Wanted, and that turned out alright, in fact Kelly's going for a Q1 release with her next album too.
November 13, 201014 yr BRING IT ON! seriously, I've been waiting for this for a very long while now and now that we finally have a release date I'm thrilled.
November 20, 201014 yr i love her. one of my favorite female pop artists as a matter of fact. i cant wait for her next project
November 27, 201014 yr The album is titled 'Goodbye Lullaby', not 'Bad Lullaby'. And it's coming out on March 28th in the UK, and March 25th in Ireland and other EU countries. And March 29th US, according to a Switzerland sales site.
November 27, 201014 yr Author :o I wonder if Gone 'Til November' Goodbye Lullabye is on there :o They've had songs on Kelly Clarkson' and Allison Iraheta' album
