You'd have to be careful though... Mobile phones aren't allowed to be switched on on planes (although, frankly I've never bought the notion that a mobile phone could interfere with the flight telemetry, etc....), so you'd have to watch out for the flight attendants wrestling you to the ground thinking you're some kind of terrorist and then cuffing you..... I bet they have special "Ryanair" handcuffs too, and they charge you about twenty quid for the key......

hehe

a fair haired steward once told me that the telemetry interference thing was more or less a veil of Maya, meant to cover up the fact that at certain heights it would be impossible for mobile companies to track down (and charge for them) any calls from and towards any provider.

given the source this could be either the most accurate, reliable insight on the subject or the most vapid chat up excuse ever.

another day, another corporate conspiracy

Ohhhh, reeeeaaaaally eh.....? I may just have to look into this further... I've got a friend who works in telecommunications, I shall enquire...... I mean, I never really bought the whole interference thing anyway tbh.... It could actually be true...

So, fair-haired stewards, eh...? Did you join the Mile High Club then.....?

Always avoid Ryanair at all costs... what at first appears to be a bargain cheap flight suddenly becomes a considerably more expensive one when they add hidden taxes etc on... plus... you have to pay for bags..... my other half was charged £20 to take a guitar out to Barcelona last NYE... then they tried to charge him £40 to bring it back?!? He left it at the airport in the end and gave it to a worker there.....

Ryanair are con artists - never, ever fly with them.

IPhone B)

Has a thing called airline mode which basically blocks all the telephony and internet but you can still use all the other features of the phone ^_^ video, ipod and so on

we were not allowed mobies even on flight mode 2 weeks ago when we went to paris.

Ouch, I have a long haul flight in Jan and was hoping to use my iPhone in flight mode and be able to use it as an iPod and play games on it

i wonder how my son john is getting on....

today hes in paraguay......

You'd notice the difference if you were standing and the plane hit air turbulence.....

true, but that'd be the only time it'd make a difference
