September 9, 200915 yr You gave it a 7 according to the sample! I've just downloaded it, and I wouldn't be surprised if you'd give it a 10 now! I would! It's already classic  This album is actually making me shake, I'm so excited.I know. :( But now I've heard it in full i'm expecting good things from it :D
September 9, 200915 yr I've pre-ordered the album from HMV (along with Nelly Furtado, Colbie Caillat and Keri Hilson's albums also all out on Monday) my poor bank account :drama:
September 9, 200915 yr I've pre-ordered the album from HMV (along with Nelly Furtado, Colbie Caillat and Keri Hilson's albums also all out on Monday) my poor bank account :drama::o Let me know if the Keri thing is real then I'll buy it! I couldn't be arsed to pre-order just to find out they wouldn't have it in stock :drama:
September 9, 200915 yr will do! I'm intrigued to see if they send me it early and then it's one of those things that gets pulled at the last minute before an instore release, think how rare it would be!!! I don't know what to expect from it if it's real though, it's probably awful, a pile of rejects :heehee:

So I ended up pre-ordering :heehee: It's just too good to miss! :( Need to see how much I get paid on Friday before I buy anything else though :drama:
September 9, 200915 yr the actions of a true Keri fan right there  I got paid 2 weeks ago but have spent barely anything so far, so I didn't mind splashing out :heehee:
September 9, 200915 yr She's this weeks "Live From London - EP" on iTunes! http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore...04&s=143444 79p per track or you can buy all 5 songs for £1.99!! Just listening now, still LOVE 'Turn It Up' and 'Band Aid' sounds nice! I guess that is exclusive to iTunes. If so, I won't be able to get it... I don't have iTunes. :( And I don't have money at all on my bank account. :P
September 10, 200915 yr Had a listen to this album all the way through and here's my quick ratings first listen: 07.5 Mama Do 08.0 Cry Me Out 07.0 Band Aid 08.0 Turn It Up 07.5 Boys & Girls 06.0 Gravity 08.5 My Love 07.0 Jack 04.0 Nothing Compares 08.5 Here We Go Again 06.5 The Way The World Works 05.5 Hold Me In Your Arms Overall - A reasonably good album but theres nothing on it which particulary stands out as amazing, quite a good bland tracks aswell. 'Cry Me Out', 'My Love' and 'Here We Go Again' for 3rd 4th and 5th single would be good.
September 10, 200915 yr I think the people who preordered the album from HMV leaked it. :heehee: Edited September 10, 200915 yr by FM11
September 10, 200915 yr The vocal effects in Gravity are hilarious. Especially the really deep one.
September 10, 200915 yr Very fun album but also very childish in parts ('Jack' especially.) The production on some songs is great but messy on others. My favourites that I hadn't heard in full prior to getting the album are 'The Way The World Works', 'Gravity' and 'Nothing Compares'. The only song I'm not really into is 'Hold Me Into Your Arms' which I would have replaced with 'What U Do'. Edited September 10, 200915 yr by Rain
September 11, 200915 yr Individual song critiques: 1. Mama Do - Biggest turnaround I've had on a song ever. I went from despising it (and her) to loving it after hearing it on the radio so much. 9.5/10 2. Cry Me Out - Great vocals on this. Probably the best lyric on the whole album - "I got your emails, you just don't get females now do you?" Glad they got rid of the bit in the bridge where she spoke which was on the version that leaked a while ago. Not sure how well it will do as a single though. 8/10 3. Band Aid - It's going to take a few listens to adjust to this version after listening to the live version so much. I really like the strings throughout and it's a cute song. 8.5/10 4. Turn It Up - Has been my favourite Pixie song since I heard her sing it live on The Saturdays tour. Still adore it. Great verses, chorus, vocals, production. I really hope it's the fourth single. 10/10 5. Boys and Girls - Wasn't sold on the demo but the improved version made me love it. 10/10 6. Gravity - I think this would have worked better as the third single. Very current and amazing vocals in the final chorus. Let down a bit by being over-produced and all the unnecessary vocal effects. 9/10 7. My Love - Good song but I don't like the "how can I live without you by my side" bit which sounds like a child and she over-sings at the end. 7.5/10 8. Jack - Extremely cheesy. It's a fun song but some of the lyrics make me cringe. The instrument (I think it's an electric guitar) in the bridge is awful. 7/10 9. Nothing Compares - Beautiful song, sung with great emotion. The chorus is fantastic. 10/10 10. Here We Go Again - Really like this new version with the slightly different opening/ending and added layers in the chorus. 10/10 11. The Way The World Works - Amazing song! Very retro-sounding and I love the explosive chorus. Only thing that spoils it a bit is the messy bridge and that "ever ever ever ever." 9.5/10 12. Hold Me In Your Arms - Not liking this that much. It's alright. 5/10 Overall: Very good debut and an enjoyable listen. :) 8/10 Edited September 11, 200915 yr by Rain
