July 18, 200916 yr I don't think i can do that with my phone :( I think i can do it with my Telstra phone, but i don't have enough credit left Get credit then! :P If you're on T-Mobile text WEB to 441, you get all the internet you want for 5 days for £2.50, 'tis how I do it :funky:
July 18, 200916 yr That's great value :o O2 are rip-off merchants, but then I do have an iPhone :kink: Anyway thanks and good luck Phil and Tron :cheer:

My Telstra phone can't seem to chose a network provider in the UK, so the internet is horrific. I tried to use Facebook a couple of days ago and gave up after 15mins when it had done f*** all  I'll check the results on monday, the library is closed sundays
July 18, 200916 yr Won't be here for the results, but I'll be sticking around until about 6:30pm. CLEMTEENSTOISTA :kink:

July 18, 200916 yr agree, obviously it's because of similar music tastes (I've never said it wasn't) but you can usually rely on certain countries to vote for each other...just watch the results tonight and try and deny it :kink: That why I remove the countries names from the links I'm listening to, and often mix the running order up, so in the end I give points in order of the songs I like the most. It makes it nice and simple that way removing any prejudice (good or bad) I have for a country or the poster behind it. But the song I have given my 12 points to this time was always going to get maximum points from me (unless there was something else amazing in the contest that I had never heard of before) as it was on my Nonsuch shortlist of songs to enter in the contest that I have not yet entered because I always thought it was an amazing wonderful track from the first time I heard it.
July 18, 200916 yr as all the songs are on my iTunes minus the country names I generally don't know who's sent what until i come to put my votes together, obv you know some of the more chatty people's entries but I think its good to do it that way so that the senders don't influence your votes too much
July 18, 200916 yr I have to say posters don't really influence my votes at all...Mdice, for example, generally send amazing songs, as is evidenced by the fact others seem to agree :P
July 18, 200916 yr I took a day off just because of this contest but I also realized I'll be here only for 1 hour/1 and 30 minutes maximum :snif:
July 18, 200916 yr Author will anybody actually be here tonight  shame I couldn't do it tomorrow but I have work all day...I'll be online by 7pm, but the prep takes such a long time, especially with 49 countries voting :drama: question for a mod; if Scherzland, Frahliso don't vote, will they be disqualified from taking part next time or did I make that up in my reminder messages :kink:

July 18, 200916 yr I was DSQ in VIII so I want the same punish for everyone who doesn't vote :smoke: :P joking lol
July 18, 200916 yr agree, obviously it's because of similar music tastes (I've never said it wasn't) but you can usually rely on certain countries to vote for each other...just watch the results tonight and try and deny it :kink: I hope I'm not one of those, though I could totally see why. I actually surprised myself this contest by voting for a few genres or types that I don't usually vote in masses for. I reckon the only reason people pick up the 'R&B bloc' is because it's a genre that, on the whole, isn't very popular in this contest so it seems to be more noticeable when someone actually likes it. My favourite type of music is probably R&B/Pop crossover (and I assume it's the same for the others in the 'bloc') so why is it a surprise when they vote for an entry of that type by someone else who likes that music? It's not like this block wouldn't vote for a good R&B track sent by...FSR Rontvia, Utopia, Rebluikken Ashton etc. There are far more people who'd vote for almost anything Scandinavian but since it's a bigger group and therefore 'the norm' it doesn't seem to be a big deal like the R&B or Indie voters. That's my take on it anyway. Hoping I'll be here for the results, I got dragged cleaning yesterday instead so that increases the chances of me being there.
July 18, 200916 yr It depends if either have been on since Wednesday or since you sent the reminders... I thought if it was only if the particpants refused to vote. (like Addy, and Chris last month) Damon or Scherz may have seen the reminders but been too busy to vote? I know it's a fine line but sometimes people genuinely can't vote. I don't think Scherz voted in the semis either, so I guess he's been rather busy?
