June 17, 201114 yr AMAZING TRAILER. So excited for this even if it is the end of an era. Just know it's going to be ridiculously epic.
June 17, 201114 yr ARGHHHHH. I think once I've seen this trailer in a cinema I'm going to go crazay. Excite!
June 25, 201114 yr I am currently on my 100th re-read, and I've almost finished Half-Blood Prince. Can't wait to get onto The Deathly Hallows, it will be only the second time I've read it since it came out; on a major nostalgia trip right now. Also, the many Voldemort screams in the trailer means I cannot watch it without laughing, in particular, his scream when Harry pushes him over the edge of the building. Fudging hilarious, gives the wilhelm scream a run for its money. 100th? The trailer makes it look closer to a Lord of the Rings film than one of the earlier Harry Potters!
June 26, 201114 yr 100th? The trailer makes it look closer to a Lord of the Rings film than one of the earlier Harry Potters! Hyperbole :P
June 30, 201114 yr I really have to disagree with this whole vulnerable side to Voldemort. They're portraying it that whenever a Horcrux is destroyed, Voldemort feels himself becoming weaker but thats completley WRONG. In the book, the reason they're hunting in secret is BECAUSE he can't feel it when they're destroyed!
July 1, 201114 yr Ok, I've clearly been living under a rock for centuries  I've just finished reading the 'Deathly Hallows' book for the first time :kink: I'm looking forward to the NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU B**CH scene
July 3, 201114 yr Soon be time to play all the films from the beginnign before saying goodbye at the big screen :( It looks EPIC!
July 4, 201114 yr I've heard that VUE is showing Part 1 and Part 2 back to back if anyone is interested!
July 7, 201113 yr I've heard that VUE is showing Part 1 and Part 2 back to back if anyone is interested! And the Odeon (and I believe VUE aswell) are showing all seven previous films in the run up to the 15th starting this friday with Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Tickets are only £3. I want to go, because PS is the only one I haven't seen on the big screen, but the single showing is pretty much packed out already :o Edited July 7, 201113 yr by Daniel II
July 7, 201113 yr Red carpet at Trafalgar Square live on YouTube :D So many of the cast look so different in real life
July 7, 201113 yr The goodbye speeches at the end were quite difficult to watch haha especially Emma Watson!
July 7, 201113 yr Gonna try and watch all the past films so I can watch this in the cinema and have an idea what's actually going on. I've never really been interested in Harry Potter but this last one feels like such a big 'thing' that I kinda wanna be part of it :P
July 7, 201113 yr Gonna try and watch all the past films so I can watch this in the cinema and have an idea what's actually going on. I've never really been interested in Harry Potter but this last one feels like such a big 'thing' that I kinda wanna be part of it :P Wikipedia? If you got the spare cash, it would be well worth going to catch them all at the cinema (starting tomorrow). Those speechs at the end of the premiere, got me a bit misty eyed I have to say, when Daniel Radcliffe made the point that we would carry the story for the rest of our lifes, and then Rowling concurred with, "The story will never die, whether you read it in the pages or you watch the films, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home" I felt on the verge of blubbering. It felt like only yesterday I was reading the books in primary school and going to watch Chamber of Secrets in the cinema. What happened?! I feel so old. Edited July 7, 201113 yr by Daniel II
July 8, 201113 yr The Guardian have given this a 4/5, with quite a glowing review. http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2011/jul/07...s-part-2-review So far on RT, it has a 100% rating based on 10 reviews (average score 8/10), considering how positive everything has been so far, it should retain a percentage in the high 80s when the reviews come flooding in next week. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/harry_pott...allows_part_ii/ Fun fact; the only films to have a perfect 100% rating on RT with over 100 reviews are Toy Story 2 (average score 8.6/10) and Man on Wire (AS 8.4/10). EDIT: Empire have also given this a 4/5 and Helen O'Hara's only criticism is that, despite what people normally say about the series, this one is a bit too fast paced http://www.empireonline.com/reviews/review....asp?FID=137029 It's current review total stands at 14 now on RT still with 100% and the average score growing to 8.1/10, early days yet; will be interesting to see how well it retains it's current ranking on there. For comparisons sake, Part 1 has a 79% rating after 242 reviews with an average score of 7.1/10. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban remains the critical darling of the series though with a 91% after 232 reviews and an AS of 7.9/10. I wonder if this will trump it? Just for the sake of it, the RT ratings for the entire series; 1) POA - 91% 2) GOF - 87% 3=) HBP - 83% 3=) COS - 83% 5) PS - 80% 6) DH (part 1) - 79% 7) OTP - 78% Press Conference Part 1 WVV9GowGPaM Part 2 8DP-nx3fWD8&feature=related Part 3 e3FP-nmkFL0&feature=relmfu Edited July 8, 201113 yr by Daniel II

Tickets are only £3. I want to go, because PS is the only one I haven't seen on the big screen, but the single showing is pretty much packed out already :o Cineworld are doing this too, but at £4 per film I think, or £21 for all seven. Hoping to go to at least one, either GOF or DH Pt.1 would be great as they are my two favourites. Picked up my Harry Potter 3D glasses from Cineworld in case they sell out next weekend :D Should hope they have plenty of stock in though... The cinema has been literally taken over. Massive sign, hugh posters, 'Have you seen this boy?' signs on each door, house logos on the side of the counters. Seeing all that and all this hype, I'm dreading how far in advance I may have to arrive in order to get a good seat  :(
