July 18, 201113 yr Her and Alan Rickman are the only actors in the whole franchise that have completley got the character from the book bang on imo. Helena was INSPIRED casting, and plays an incredible Bella. Just imagine what would've happened if Helen McCrory actually played her, like she was supposed to. :kink:
July 18, 201113 yr Character ranks; 1.) Severus Snape 2.) Bellatrix Lestrange 3.) Luna Lovegood 4.) Dobby 5.) Hermione Granger 6.) Minerva McGonagall 7.) Narcissa Malfoy 8.) Molly Weasley 9.) Neville Longbottom 10.) Albus Dumbledore Edited July 18, 201113 yr by WillR0713

July 18, 201113 yr IT WAS AMAZING! I have never read the books so I was Gobsmaked how good it was. Brilliant ending to the series.
July 18, 201113 yr Et9neyr205Y That scene - inc the bit prior where Snape addressed the school - was absolutely fantastic! Edited July 18, 201113 yr by Slowpoke
July 18, 201113 yr Can't really be bothered to do a proper review yet, but: Rickman and Maggie where INCREDIBLE. I always struggled to picture an emotional/weeping Snape when reading the last book, but Rickman portrayed it brilliantly. Maggie Smith is my new "Gilf"-crush. SO so so pissed at the way the Bellatrix & Mollie W. fight scene was handled. It was so poor. And I was hoping for once that Tonks would FINALLY get some screen time, she's one of my favourite characters in the books. Sadly, it wasn't going to happen. -_-
July 19, 201113 yr 01 Severus Snape 02 Albus Dumbledore 03 Hermione Granger 04 Lucius Malfoy 05 Molly Weasley 06 Bellatrix Lestrange 07 Luna Lovegood 08 Minerva McGonagall 09 Vernon Dursley 10 Sybill Trelawney Harry and Ron were never ALL THAT. Oh and Helen McCrory is brilliant as Narcissa. Probably wouldn't have made such a great Bellatrix though so her unavailability earlier on in the franchise was a bit of a happy accident.
July 19, 201113 yr I love how its was 19 years later and they all looked the same  Edited July 22, 201113 yr by Gaga for Glee!
July 19, 201113 yr Just watched it again in 3D. I don't think that the 3D effects actually contributed much towards the film itself, I preferred it more in 2D if anything.
July 19, 201113 yr Probably wouldn't have made such a great Bellatrix though so her unavailability earlier on in the franchise was a bit of a happy accident. I think as a whole, the Malfoy family are BRILLIANT in this. Jason Isaacs put on a very good performance, you could just hear it in his voice and see in his facial expressions of how brilliantly he managed to portray Lucius' struggles throughout both parts of the Deathly Hallows. Same as Helen McCrory, she put on an excellent performance as well (and for once, I wasn't actually cringing at Tom Felton's awful 'acting', he's greatly improved). The clip of the Malfoy family "running away" was worked into the film well I thought.
July 19, 201113 yr Imelda's BRILLIANT as her, and I love the dichotomy between fluffy kittens and chintz and Muggle-hatred, authoritarianism and the Cruciatus curse, but she isn't QUITE top ten material.
July 19, 201113 yr Imelda's BRILLIANT as her, and I love the dichotomy between fluffy kittens and chintz and Muggle-hatred, authoritarianism and the Cruciatus curse, but she isn't QUITE top ten material. She definitely is! :o She plays her exactly like how I imagined her to be in the books.
July 19, 201113 yr (Based on Films 7 & 8) 1 Severus Snape 2 Minerva McGonnagall 3 Hermione Granger 4 Dolorus Umbridge 5 Bellatrix Lestrange
July 19, 201113 yr 1. Hermione Granger 2. Luna Lovegood 3. Ginny Weasley 4. Dolores Umbridge 5. Severus Snape 6. Molly Weasley 7. Neville Longbottom 8. Minevra McGonogall 9. Bellatrix Lestrange 10. Ron Weasley I love how Harry is in like no-one's faves list  He is the main focus and all but Daniel is a shit actor. It's not just that either because I dislike him in the books too, I kind of wish it was all Neville instead, seeing as he has a similair story in his early years, bar the prophecy and being brought up by horrible Muggles. He's far more likable than Harry ever was as well. Hermione is just amazing, end of
July 20, 201113 yr What's with the lack of love for Dolores Umbridge?! "The gently smiling Dolores Umbridge, with her girlish voice, toadlike face, and clutching, stubby fingers, is the greatest make-believe villain to come along since Hannibal Lecter." - Stephen King Maybe that quote will please you :D She's just such a deliciously evil character in the books, that I absolutely love to hate, and Imelda plays her wonderfully, even if I imagine her to be a little more twisted.
July 20, 201113 yr If Harry was a horcrux then how come it wasn't destroyed when the Basilisk bit him in the Chamber of Secrets? OMG. Childhood ruined.
