Posted July 19, 200915 yr Do we have an official explanation to what happened with this? Edited July 19, 200915 yr by Ricky
July 19, 200915 yr We should have an explanation from MW what all the fuss over it, tomorrow. I do think Louis was pretty nervous that Umbrella would deny Beat Again a #1 which was never going to happen, so he could have asked to remove it. That copyright thingy from Rihanna's HQ sounded all too poppycock, as the Umbrella is still selling on download sites. But it seems to be doing a yo-yo at the moment, one minute its in, the next minute its out.
July 19, 200915 yr It was all over the press last week why it didn't chart. The OCC said that because the track was part of the singles bundle, it couldn't chart. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...-from-them.html Edited July 19, 200915 yr by britster

July 19, 200915 yr Maybe they released an unbundled version somewhere. There already was one - the B-Side can be bought separately on Amazon and iTunes and I don't know where else. Edited July 19, 200915 yr by Supernova B-rye
July 19, 200915 yr There already was one - the B-Side can be bought separately on Amazon and iTunes and I don't know where else. I mean an unbundled version, ie, its own release. The Amazon and iTunes versions are part of a singles bundle where the track can be cherry picked. There must be somewhere where it has been released standalone hence the chart position of #107.

Umbrella can be downloaded on its own, and it does not come with 'Beat Again' or indeed anything else.

Umbrella can be downloaded on its own, and it does not come with 'Beat Again' or indeed anything else. I can't see a separate release on iTunes. I only see it listed as track 2 on the bundle, which can be bought on its own for 79p. Where's the standalone iTunes release of Umbrella.
July 19, 200915 yr I get it. Umbrella was available on iTunes as part of the Beat Again single even though you can buy that only. So it wouldn't count because it comes from the digital single? Edited July 19, 200915 yr by FM11
July 20, 200915 yr I get it. Umbrella was available on iTunes as part of the Beat Again single even though you can buy that only. So it wouldn't count because it comes from the digital single? So say the silly OCC.
July 20, 200915 yr So say the silly OCC. How is this silly? If this rule didn't apply, then every b-side bought as part of a bundle would have its own chart position, even if virtually *no-one* bought it on merit. If a b-side is bought on its own from a bundle, that's fair enough to chart though, because it has been specifically chosen.

July 20, 200915 yr Becuase it's a crap version from a crap boyband!!! Edited July 20, 200915 yr by Euro Music
July 20, 200915 yr Maybe they might've lost track of the sales? So they think "screw this", etc? So say the silly OCC. Someone will do it for sure. :D That's not a reason for why it didn't chart  Exactly.

Louis who :S Louis Walsh is not their manager or anything, he was just their judge on X Factor, he has no word on what they release.
