I bought it. I actually find the album very disappointing. Maybe it's because I've had most of the songs for a long time now but I just can't really get into Nerina when she's all over produced guitars and synths. I'm so confused as to why Long Tall Grass Of Summer didn't make the album as well...it's so beautiful.

Obviously she's got a knack for a hook, but I just can't get into the Right Side and I Don't Want To Go Out and Everything's Illuminated works so much better as an acoustic song than with all synths and electric guitars.

I think I just miss the darkness and epicness of Fires. The Graduate just comes off a bit cheesy.

Coming Home is easily my favourite and is the only song reminiscent of her old stuff.

I don't mind all this though. I think of Nerina more as a musical entity now rather than a releasing artist because you can find and hear her songs in so many different ways and forms that the album sort of just seems an obligation rather than a necessity.

listened to it once and liked it but it didn't compare to Fires at all for me

a few standouts though

I went to see her last night in Glasgow and she was superb. She is so underrated!!! what an amzing voice she has when live. her cd's do not do her justice. great album

this album hit me on about the 6th listen  a massive grower :D

I bought this.

When Did I Become Such A Bitch is totally my track. word for word i can totally relate.

  • 1 month later...

Next single is 'Learning To Breathe', due early January:

Can't see this single charting or doing anything for the album, should've went with 'When Did I Become Such A Bitch' instead.

Really? The song has already been released as a single and isn't included on The graduate....

Shame the album flopped :( Not as good as Fires but still very enjoyable! Don't see this album (or future singles) do anything chartwise though (sadly)....

Bringing back an old topic...

Does anyone own the Buckminster Fuller EP?

If yes, I would like to know if opening track "It Starts" is the same version as the one on The Graduate?

Really looking forward to Year of the Wolf!!!

Yes it is!

Thank you! :)

I'm loving her new single, Put Your Hands Up. She managed to reinvent herself but still remain true to her singer-songwriter genre.

Bring on May 30th!!! I really hope the deluxe edition is also released on CD.
