Great episode spoiled by one thing!

Frickin cartoon version of Graham Norton!

Hopefully S5 can continue on like this now after the VERY SLOW start.

So many things to say about that episode - just fan-bloody-tastic! I've enjoyed all the eps so far but TToA is definitely going to be a classic along with next-weeks I think :D

One of my fav pre-title sequences ever!

I had to rewatch it straight away because seeing my brothers so $h!t scared of the Angels was so distracting

Very glad to see Amy and the Doctor noticing

the crack next week! Did not expect that so soon!

Oh Mark - the ratings aren't down 2 million. Overnights for VoTD - final figure should be about this week.

Overnights for The Beast Below were 6.7m but the final figure was 8.4 million.

The overnight ratings are becoming increasingly irrelevant when it comes to Doctor Who!

Oh and bad move on BBC to anger DW fans with the cartoon Graham Norton! Do they never learn?!

Expect an article in The Sun ;)

I thought it was the best ep so far of Series 4, although I'm still not totally into this series, I don't think I'm used to Matt yet. But I'm still watching...
I didn't see a cartoon Graham at all :/

LOL, i would've been been freaking furious if i saw that  :(

I didn't expect the episode to be only the first part of the story btw. I could've waited 'til the next week to watch it at once :drama:

Apparently

the source of the crack is revealed on Saturday :o

Think people just expecting that after it was seen in the trailer - hope it is though!

My own theory...

River has been in prison - rumoured to be for murder. The crack was associated with the prisoner in ep 1. Connection between the two perhaps?

Episode 8 & 9 titles have been confirmed:

E6 Vampires Of Venice

E7 Amys Choice

E8 The Hungry Earth

E9 Cold Blood

E10 Vincent And The Doctor

Think people just expecting that after it was seen in the trailer - hope it is though!

Nope, it is confirmed, it's in the Digital Spy spoiler list!

Oh yes so it is! :drama:

Well at least that should shut up the "bored of it already" brigade who expected it to be the entire series arc :D

I knew it wouldn't be essential to the final few episodes as it is.

I'm really looking forward to the Amy's Choice episode.

I'm really looking forward to the Amy's Choice episode.

Me too - the little info about it has me very intrigued!

Total viewing figures so far (from BARB):

9.59 // 'The 11th Hour'

7.93 // 'The Beast Below'

7.82 // 'Victory Of The Daleks

8.45 // Average

I hope the official figure for 'The Time Of Angels' improves on TBB and VOTD's.

Not as good as the first parter, there was more action last week, the date that was given at the end of the episode is the date of the final episode to be transmitted. Pretty average episode, nothing much noting but I do like Amy 7/10

Next week's episode looks like a big improvement, mind you I say that every week, and it ends up a bit of a let down. I wish they stop posting the spoilers at the end of each eppy.

At last for the first time in this series, a truly great episode, with a storyline where part 2 was better than part 1 (Unlike the RTD era, where the reverse always seemed to happen).

Great acting, a great storyline, some great one liners, a bit of humour one minute, pathos the next, drama the next ... exactly what Dr Who should be about.

In fact the only thing missing, (after last week's ending) was an animated weeping angel breaking the neck of an animated Graham Norton.

10/10

Another great episode, but I did prefer last week's. I didn't understand the majority of the bits about the crack etc, but ah well. :P 8/10 Next week's episode is going to be fantastic, judging by the clip shown on Jonathan Ross a couple of week's back.

Thought that was a great episode, this is classic doctor who- some really tense scenes and well-though out plot that wasnt rushed and kept you watching constantly

and no cartoon Graham Norton which is a bonus
