What a load of poo

1/10 worst ever episode of the whole Dr Who back catalogue, they would have never made an episode like that way back in the 70s. I sat thru 45 minutes of sheer boredom.

Great episode, one of the best in the series so far! James was really good! Next week's will be really good! :w00t:

The Lodger

I'm afraid this awful, pointless, unfunny, silly episode replaces Love & Monsters as the nadir of the 21st Century Who franchise. Further proof that everything James Corden touches right now turns to $h!t. I wonder if he has shaken hands/slapped hi-fives with Robert Green recently.

At least we both agreed on the episode this week, it was a bit pointless episode. Amy didn't even do anything whatsoever, all she did twiddle knobs and shudder left and right in the tardis.

That wasnt very good- not enough action, and the all the personal scenes with football and talking to his girlfriend were very pointless imo

However, next weeks looks amazing- I suppose it is allowed one 'off' week ^_^

I think that was the point, an Amy-lite episode. The Doctor had to do it on his own. Not as bad as everyone makes out it just seems a lot of anti-JC going on, and I don't really like him but I could detach myself from him from that. Shame the spaceship looked better than the TARDIS does. And Amy seeing the ring had a big effect on the old crack there.

Kitchen sink awaits next week!

This was the first episode I watched on a while- Blame having bad constipation thus not allowing me to go out- but is Amy always as awful as she was in tonights episode? The doctor is good though; will have to get the DVD to watch all the episodes back to back

Oh please at some of the comments  Worse than Love & Monsters? I think someone needs to rewatch L&M!

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Ropey storyline yes but a nice episode all the same.

Corden was bearable and his seens with Matt really good. Matt as ever fantastic, nice to see the football scenes thrown in for him :D

It was a filler ep of course as clearly the final two are going to be quite massive!

All my family loved this episode, it was brilliant. I wasn't expecting much because of JC but I loved it, this series has been really strong since the first Angels episode.

As unwatchable as James Corden is most of the time, he was just about bearable i'll give you that. Still dont get why of all actors, it had to be him though.

A 4/10 of an episode. Filler with a wonky stupid plotline that was very seen it all before.

I thought it was fairly good. No way the best in the series but definitely not the worst. Corden didn't annoy me at all. The soppy ending was what irritated me but this series has been full of them. Matt Smith was superb this week. I've really enjoyed him throughout the series but I feel last night was the first time I couldn't imagine Tennant in the role.
Matt has certainly made the doctor his own now. Did anybody notice the Van Gough thing on the fridge? Or something not to do with the storyline when both the doctor and JC's character said shout a few times? that just made me lol when it happened.

Yes noticed VG flyer on the fridge!

One connected rumoured spoiler I saw for the finale said:

A Van Gogh painting is ferried across thousands of years, communicating a disturbing prophecy to the Doctor.

AMY POND IS QUEEN. YOU WILL BOW AT HER QUEEN FEET.

Not the best episode but certainly not abysmal  Even Corden was bearable!

I loved last night's episode. It wasn't the best of the series, but it isn't as bad as people are making it out to be imo. I wish Amy wasn't just stuck in the TARDIS the whole time though, and it was quite a pointless episode.

The final two episodes look like they are going to be brilliant! Very excited for them.

Love And Monsters is hands-down one of my favourite episodes

This one was OK. Funny in places, good in other places, I actually thought James Corden was OK at being a less obnoxious version of himself - and the Doctor has really grown on me. I hate it when episodes build up to something the way they did though, and then the climax/reveal is a crock of actual $h!te.

7/10.

OH I just checked and turns out I missed an episode when I was rewatching the entire series. I'm now half way through Series 4 yet missed 'Love and Monsters'. :heehee:

(I thought Love and Monsters was The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit.)

LOL I thought there must be something wrong when you said it was one of your favs?

You missed Love & Monters? Keep it that way :)

Actually Love & Monsters was a lot better on rewatch imo, but yeah, it's still abysmal.
