This is on Jay's myspace, and man it's HOT. This is a surefire Urban smash. I don't think the hook is that instant, but after a couple of plays I found it really addictive. Jay's really come back hard this era.
He really has! I feel like he's about to be huge again. This has a really genuine, epic vibe and it's infectious with it.

Just heard this premiered on 1Xtra, it's so good.

EDIT: Here it is:

EDIT2: I have a link :teresa:

I really hope he is huge again, with the release of 'The Blueprint 3'.

Judging by this single and D.O.A., I think this era could be pretty successful! :P

Love it!

Kanye on ANOTHER song? :heehee: I don't like Jay-Z but Rihanna and Kanye have never appeared on a song I don't like so I'm sure it'll grow.

i was really looking forward to the album - now i'm not.

dissapointed.

Any song with Rihanna and Kanye West on it is going to massive.

I'm not blown away on a first listen, but I can see it growing. Is gonna be hugeeee.

WOW. REALLY like it. It's the sorta thing Eminem should have comeback with. It sounds quite old-school, but at the same time very fresh and current. I wouldn't mind a link if it's not too much trouble please :kink:

What were you expecting?

What were you expecting?

well i after hearing he was collaborating with Kayne, i expected something just like this, but i expect more from Jay-Z, this comes to nothing of what he is capable of based on his other albums, i liked 'Jockin Jay Z' though.

its like, this will be massive based on the fact it features rihanna and kayne, it should be massive based on how good a hip hop artist Jay-Z is.

Jay-Z is hardly in it to say it's his song, same with Mr. Hudson 'Supernova'

exactly. although i'd take a guess that Jay-Z produced it? but Jay-Z is strongest on his own imo.

I thought Rihanna was strongest tbh, maybe because she's on chorus so has more parts

Jay-Z has been in the game for thirteen years though, nobody keeps selling over the course of a decade and a half and eleven studio albums unless they evolve. Just 'being Jay-Z' isn't enough, just like 'being Madonna' wasn't enough 8 years after her debut, and just like 'being Lady GaGa' won't be enough in a year or two.

I would've actually thought people would be into this because despite the guest artists it's very old-school and epic and it doesn't really succumb to current trends. And it seems a lot of people do like it precisely because of that fact...

I'm pretty sure Mr Hudson does sing more than Kanye in 'Supernova'.

Just to point out, Rihanna is on the chorus, but she does not have more lines than Jay-Z and if you think otherwise, you're crazy. Her part is the most memorable because she sings the hook, but Jay's flow is still strong. Ye's verse is pure genius, too.
