So, after the floptastic 'Beyond the Neighbourhood', Athlete are back with their fourth album, 'Black Swan' at the end of August.

First single off the album will be 'Superhuman Touch' and they're offering a free download on their site at the moment, 'Summer Sun'

 

 

I actually quite liked their last album and thought it was much better than their previous, which had a lot more success! :(

I'm liking Summer Sun though, it definitely seems more V&A or 'Beyond the Neighbourhood', which is good for me at least!

I quite like this track a lot.

 

It has a nice early 1980s chimering guitar sound and a superior morose tune which lifts it over the blandfest that The Script have inflicted on the Radio airwaves in the last 12 months.

Nothing much new here, I feel a major flop.

I like Superhuman Touch quite a bit...but it's missing something that made Hurricane sooooo amazing. :(

I cant see it going Top 40 in a million years...but i hope the album does well. :D
