To be honest, I think its chances of winning could now be badly hit due to the download release date has now been moved forward to less than two weeks away. With the physical release following three weeks later.

 

Put it this way I expect it will blow away Madonna's Celebration from the top of the UK singles chart. But I'm not so convinced the goodwill will now be extented to it in this contest. Just remember what happened to the song that is going to romp to #1 in the UK singles chart this week two contests ago.

I heard it first when Scott Mills made it his Record of the Week, before it was added to the Radio 1 Playlist.

regardless of how close it is to its release date, Silly Boy ticks every possible BJSC success box that there is and is in no fear of either DNQ'ing or flopping in the final, I would bet my house that it will come top 3

Oh, I fully agree it will finish in the Top 3, but less than two weeks ago I thought it would run up a record score in the contest, and at the very least be a certain winner. Now I think it is the equivalent of P!nk's So What, with great potential for a song that has not been hyped so far that will gain a lot of momentum to come through to beat it.
