Ooh! I'm not downloading it though!

I've done since Confessions On A Dance Floor. All songs need to be heard on a disc or else I wont bother until after I have purchased it!

Well, for people that don't want to know

all tracks have been remastered

Downloaded :kink: But I'm buying it on Monday

Nice that most are original single versions, instead of album versions. What's the deal with Lucky Star tho?

I think 'Celebration' will not reach the #1 position in the EU. This week #5 again, for the third week. :( HERE

Have we seen the one-CD tracklisting - potentially even more upsetting than the 2 CD, where the heavy bias to the 80s is even more pronounced!

01. Hung Up

02. Music

03. Vogue

04. 4 Minutes

05. Holiday

06. Like A Virgin

07. Into The Groove

08. Like A Prayer

09. Ray Of Light

10. La Isla Bonita

11. Frozen

12. Material Girl

13. Papa Don't Preach

14. Lucky Star

15. Express Yourself

16. Open Your Heart

17. Dress You Up

18. Celebration

I'm glad she found room for two ROL singles (her best era), but when she's limited herself to just 18 tracks to represent her whole career, I'm surprised she's managed to justify the inclusion of Lucky Star and Dress You Up, neither of which are really essential and don't offer much that the other 80s tracks don't already do. I'd have thought Live To Tell and Beautiful Stranger would have been more deserving.

I'm halfway through the 2-Disc version and it's amazing so far! The artwork is fantastic (although some liner notes would've been nice) and all the remastered tracks sound great. Sure there are lots of classic Madge tracks that haven't made the tracklisting but the ones that have are all brilliant and it does seem like they've picked the best versions to go on the album. IMO it's the best Greatest Hits album in a long time!!
Just bought it and nearing end of Disc 1. Great stuff. So many fab hits.

Madonna's ''Celebration'' Tops Euro Chart

Madonna's "Celebration" overtakes Muse's "The Resistance" to debut at the top of Billboard European Top 100 Albums survey.

The "Celebration" retrospective is new at #1 in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Ireland and Denmark, #2 in Spain, Portugal and Finland, #3 in Switzerland, #4 in Austria and #5 in Norway.

The compilation's 77,000 first-week U.K. sales give Madonna her 11th #1 album there (including 1996's "Evita" soundtrack). That draws her level with Elvis Presley with the most U.K. chart-toppers of any solo artist, only behind the Beatles' best total for any artist of 15.

The European Top 100 Albums - the European adaptation of the Billboard 200 albums chart - was created by Billboard in 1987. Their first number one album was Madonna's "True Blue".

i have some spare money since Natalie Imbruglia's new album is delayed so will get my dad

to pick it up tomorrow in Tesco

seems like the 2-disc is the best way to start my Madonna collection

Today's mids: 1 Barbra Striesand 8.4k 2 Madonna 7.9k I hope Madonna can climb as it's not a big gap.
I've bought both the standard and deluxe versions of the album. The 2CD Deluxe version is amazing! Although I'd have liked a bit more 90's material (Rain, This Used To Be My Playground, Human Nature, You'll See and Beautiful Stranger would've been nice) and also there are some 80's tracks missing that I'd have replaced for others included. I think True Blue was a must here, it is more representative of her career than the likes of Dress You Up or Burning Up, tbf. And also, I'd have liked Gambler to be included, since it made the Top 5 in the UK and we've never got the opportunity to have it remastered.
