Long-distance swimming is eh for Kopecka. NOT OUR SPECIALITY IT MUST BE SAID. We didn't make it to the final round four years agoooo.

Canoeing on the other hand is an interesting proposition. Our team got a gold in the first Olympiad, but four years haven't been kind to the team and they go into tomorrow's event distinct dark horses for title retention, although they all insist that they're 'going all out for at least a bronze'. Bookies disagree.

Kayaking however could see a realistic bronze hopeful with Kaya Mistrana having claimed fifth two years ago at the World Championships aged 19, and she's upped her game distinctly since then so WHO KNOWS?

The republic is looking forward to tomorrows OPEN WATER swimming.

As reining Olympic and World Champions, Ashton are very excited about the first of the swimming events and are expecting nothing less than a gold.

YAY @ being second on the Medals Table :P

Joint second :P

And I'm pretty pissed off with the results! Our team was one of the best this time, don't know what happened. Or maybe i know. Everything was fixed. :kink:

Thansk God Elёdan had a 4th place two years ago and finished 2nd in the last year's canoeing. :dancing:

Hendinia happened to pick up Bronze in the canoeing last year. But, we're crap at long distance swimming and kayaking. Well, we're alright at Kayaking, but not great.
Palmyra are irrationally confident about Kayaking :yahoo:
Late again <_<
:w00t: With some medals to Elёdan please :kink:

OMG! I can't wait :w00t:

Svimming is going to be the big thing :o

OPEN WATER SWIMMING

http://www.london2012.com/news/image-library/venue-images/previews/eton-dorney-rowing-canoe-kayak-flatwater.jpg

Welcome to the beautiful Nickodonian National Rowing lake and today we're here for the kayaking, canoeing and open water swimming. We'll start with the swimming and obviously the island nations are heavy favourites, particularly Utopia, who claim that its inhabitants have to swim to get anything. They have the world record and will be hoping an olympic title will follow.

Which, unsurprisingly it does and Utopia gets its first medal of the games, breaking the field and taking victory by half an hour! All other participants were closley matched, but ultimatley Ashton and FSR Rontvia's great stratergies allowed them to complete the podium. The hosts finished a respectable 10th position as current overall leaders Kopečka finished 28th place.

Gold: Utopia
Silver: Ashton
Bronze: FSR Rontvia

Ashton's second silver of the games lifts them into second place overall, just one behind Kopečka who will be hoping to defend their lead with a better showing in the kayaking and canoeing.

Gold = 3pts
Silver = 2pts
Bronze = 1pt

The hosts are in 8th place after a dissapointing haul of one silver and one bronze.

You do realise that medal tables are ordered by golds? :lol: Ashton are 8th atm with you 9th...

Indeed. In last years Olympics Giorgia finished above Cuba. Georgia got 6 medals, Cuba got 24. (3,0,3 and 2,11,11)

No sign of Mdice. THAT CERTAINLY DOESN'T LOOK RIGHT.

Yeah, but the IOC were considering an overhaul, at least, the BBC team did a points system when Steve Ovette asked them too :kink: I think it's more fair, cos if a country got 30 silvers and 20 bronzes it's not really right that they're behind a country with one gold and nothing else :P
