I was just thinking, imagine if the host of a contest failed to vote before the deadline? What would happen? :o

I have this looming sense of bleugh that I am the nul-pointer.

True, but I am going to properly vote and not just give high points to the songs that I want to go through but aren't doing well :heehee:

I honestly think Tom (nothing personal against you, just a thought), that if there is a song 2 points ahead of you which you are going to give maybe 6 points, you will be tempted to lower it to 4 or something to push you up a place :lol:

They should not.

 

As hosts normal co-ordinate the whole event, and are ususually responsible for putting the Semi Final threads and votes together, they would know whom the Finalists are when preparing the Semi Final Results thread, and preparing the running order for the Final.

 

Hence, because they have that information, they should always vote first.

 

I know when I hosted the contest after winning, I had my Semi Final votes ready before the two Semi Final threads; and my Final votes ready before opening the Final thread; so I could not unduly manipulate the Final results.

Fair enough. I don't want to manipulate anything, but TBH I've only really got to know the songs in the last couple of days, because of the multi-host situation. I'm voting pretty much as normal, ranking the songs, but I can't deny that the votes I've recevied so far may make a couple of points difference either way.

Hmm this will be hard, I only listened to them all for the first time today and I just watched the recap for my semi. Voting might take a little longer than predicted as I somewhat like everything in my semi and I couldn't outright delete any. I can't say the other semi impressed me as much.

 

I think we can have a good final if the right songs get through, I just having a feeling it's not gonna go that way.
