August 16, 200915 yr Fully agree B.A. Life should mean WHOLE LIFE. Every murder. No exception. No 15 years and this crap, parole for good behaviour. Those lads, men whatever they are now should STILL BE IN JAIL and Baby P's killers should stay there until they die too. So how do you distinguish between someone who hits someone who falls awkwardly and dies of head injuries and Harold Shipman? And how many people are going to want to act as prison officers in a jail full of people with no hope of getting out? People who might as well run riot every day for all the difference it makes.
August 16, 200915 yr You are the ultimate do gooder mate :manson: the criminal's friend -_- Losing a few years of their childhood watching tv and playing Playstation games does not compare with the childhood Jamie Bulger lost by losing his LIFE  You could at least have the courtesy to get the poor lad's name right. His parents never called him Jamie so why do you? Surely the opposite of a do-gooder is an evil-doer. I know which I'd rather be.
August 16, 200915 yr There was a strong rumour in 2006 that Thompson is in an Irish jail for killing his pregnant girlfriend in 2004. He went to Ireland in 2001. He himself says he IS Thompson but the Garda (Irish police) and British Home Office say he isn't him. Well they would. Look at a pic of Thompson 10 and this guy in 2006 and there's a great resemblance. There's a rumour that the moon landings were faked and another one that Elvis is still alive. Do you believe those too?

And how many people are going to want to act as prison officers in a jail full of people with no hope of getting out? People who might as well run riot every day for all the difference it makes. I would change the manslaughter ruling For example kill a burglar you get manslaughter not murder Come home from work and find the wife in bed with the milkman and in a fit of rage throw the milkman out of upstairs window that would be manslaughter A wife who has suffered years of abuse form a husband snapping and beating him to death with a rolling pin change that to manslaughter Currently they would all be charged with MURDER So I would have FULL LIFE tariff for convicted PREMEDITATED murder and have the crimes of passion, killing burglars etc etc downgraded to manslaughter
August 16, 200915 yr There's a rumour that the moon landings were faked and another one that Elvis is still alive. Do you believe those too? I believe 100% that the moon landings were faked yes, about 50-50 on Elvis,
August 16, 200915 yr I believe 100% that the moon landings were faked yes, about 50-50 on Elvis,
August 17, 200915 yr I believe 100% that the moon landings were faked yes, about 50-50 on Elvis, ignoring all the hard evidence in favour of rumour and bad science...you are a complete idiot.
August 17, 200915 yr thompson and venebles were victims of a bad upbringing themselves and without having a father figure role model to teach them the consequences of their actions had no idea of what they truely did to bulger. no comparison with ADULTS at all...
August 17, 200915 yr Chris :( You were better to keep schtum on that. Why? As I keep saying before, I'm entitled to my opinion.
August 17, 200915 yr  There's actually some fairly good evidence Elvis faked his death. A woman received flowers she says from him, the day AFTER he supposedly died, using a name on the card only he could have known! Do dead men send flowers? Lots of other things if you open your mind and read some sites about it. People visiting Graceland saw a man sitting in a chair in a conservatory window and swear it was him. August 17, 200915 yr Author I really need to wash now as feel so dirty saying this but I kind of agree with Crazy Chris here I am anti death penalty but at the same time I am very strongly in favour of a WHOLE LIFE tariff for murder, and this includes Thompson and Venables, Denise Bulger is serving a whole life tariiff without her son so Thompson and Venables should have stayed in jail till they die, they were not even in jail they were in a secure unit with tv, Playstation and so on Someone who is 10 knows what they are doing, I iknew the difference between right and wrong at 10 I iknew that it is totaly wrong to take the life of another person so they have no excuse I don't think being abused is even 1% justification to become an abuser be it the Bulger killers, Baby P killers, Huntley or anyone else Thompson and Venables should have got a whole life tariff along with Baby P killers Dont be bloody ridiculous.... Like I say, there is no comparison between Thomson/Venables and the Barkers... The Barkers (and Tracy Connelly) made choices as adults, whereas Thomson and Venables were still developing psychologically speaking, and were subject to an ongoing, pretty twisted upbringing in which there were no proper role-models. The Barkers almost certainly knew what they were doing was wrong, you didn't actually answer Suedehead's point by the way about adults with minds of 10-year olds, that would almost certainly be considered a mitigating circumstance, an adult with the mind of 10-year old is going to need constant supervision, visits from social and health workers, etc, they cant function properly as adults without a support network... Thomson and Venables were basically neglected and abused, left to their own devices, with no kind of "support network" at all, ie, no one gave a sh!t..... Well, society sure gave a sh!t when they killed James Bulger..... So, if the law makes a distinction between an adult with a mind of a 10-year old and any other ordinary criminal, then obviously there's a good reason for that... How many examples of miscarriages of justice have we seen where police has manipulated and coerced "confessions" out of such people...? Because they ARE easily manipulated because of their mental state, which is like a child's... So, it doesn't seem like such an incredibly big leap to me to see that actual 10-year olds (particularly those that haven't been brought up properly) need more rehabilitation than punishment.... All in all, what these cases convince me of more and more is that there needs to be some kind of parenting "exam"... Seriously.... Something that does seriously and rigourously test an individual's emotional and psychological fitness to have children.... And ALL should be tested, rich or poor, famous or not famous... You fail, you get the snip, simple as, no appeals.... Then perhaps we can close the books on sorry episodes such as Baby P and James Bulger forever, because the only people actually having children will be those with the proper psychological and emotional "equipment" to bring them up......
August 17, 200915 yr Punishment is as important infact more important than rehabillitation, the focus on Venables and Thompson has been on rehabillitation whereas they have been insufficiently punished for what they did What the f*** are you on about? Would you not rather try to turn someone into a useful member of society, instead focusing on the medieval 'YOU DID THIS SO WE'LL DO IT BACK'. What the f*** do we gain from that apart from satisfying our atavistic desires?
August 17, 200915 yr I would change the manslaughter ruling For example kill a burglar you get manslaughter not murder Come home from work and find the wife in bed with the milkman and in a fit of rage throw the milkman out of upstairs window that would be manslaughter A wife who has suffered years of abuse form a husband snapping and beating him to death with a rolling pin change that to manslaughter Currently they would all be charged with MURDER So I would have FULL LIFE tariff for convicted PREMEDITATED murder and have the crimes of passion, killing burglars etc etc downgraded to manslaughter Actually, for the first time I can remember in a while I can agree with you on these!
August 17, 200915 yr There's actually some fairly good evidence Elvis faked his death. Lots of other things if you open your mind and read some sites about it. People visiting Graceland saw a man sitting in a chair in a conservatory window and swear it was him. I'm frankly SHOCKED you think that flowers arrive on the same day they're ordered, especially in the 70s.
August 17, 200915 yr Author People visiting Graceland saw a man sitting in a chair in a conservatory window and swear it was him. Well, plenty of deluded idiots also claim to see the face of Jesus when they cut open a melon mate, what the hell does that prove....? ELVIS IS DEAD...... THE MOON LANDINGS WERE REAL.... Get a grip man.... Do you actually hear yourself sometimes....? I mean, honestly, do yourself (and us) a favour... Go to a mirror, and say this utter sh!te out loud to yourself while looking at your reflection.... See how utterly stupid you are.... This is how WE see you.....

August 17, 200915 yr Author What the f*** are you on about? Would you not rather try to turn someone into a useful member of society, My thoughts exactly... Punishment and rehabilitiation should be 50/50, they are of equal importance. Look at the absolutely punitive State Prison and Supermax system in the US, that does NOT create useful members of society when prisoners get out, and recidivism in the US is extremely high because what it does create is extremely angry, resentful, hostile ex-cons who look to hit back at society as soon as they can.... Craig, you've clearly gleaned nothing from the examples of John McVicar and Jimmy Boyle, as well as plenty others who have benefitted from rehabilitation programmes....
August 17, 200915 yr Why? As I keep saying before, I'm entitled to my opinion. yes you ARE entitled to your opinion.... and WE are entitled to OURS.... and based on what you continually post, you are a complete idiot. what exactly do you base your opinions on? There's actually some fairly good evidence Elvis faked his death. A woman received flowers she says from him, the day AFTER he supposedly died, using a name on the card only he could have known! Do dead men send flowers? Lots of other things if you open your mind and read some sites about it. People visiting Graceland saw a man sitting in a chair in a conservatory window and swear it was him. theres NO evidence that elvis faked his death... like with the moon landings and probabally loads of other conspiracy theories, you CHOSE to believe without question every point a cons theorist makes without actually examining the facts. hence why you come across as such an idiot. think about it for 1 second...if he was busy faking his death, why tf would he sit in a consevatory window for all to see? pillock!
August 17, 200915 yr Author if he was busy faking his death, why tf would he sit in a consevatory window for all to see? pillock!  Yeah, Chris, think about it mate....
