Yes, I was looking at the table. Looks difficult for Liverpool.

I agree, great for Portsmouth. They deserve some cheer after what has been a difficult season for them.

I wonder if Pompey's appeal to get into Europe will succeed, seeing as Chelski are in the CL. If Platini wasn't around maybe.

I'm in two minds about it though, I mean isn't winning the FA Cup last time and getting into Europe what financially ruined them  But then wouldn't it help them get extra money to survive at the start of next season. Pff who knows?

Today was the first time I've caught a glimpse of him as he came on for the last 10 minute plus 6 minutes injury time!

He started the first three games when he came here, we won one in the last minute and lost the other two. After that we were at home to Peterbrough so he was ineligible, we won that and then understandbly made only one (enforced) change at left back for the next game which we also won. He started against Bristol City last Saturday but was one of a few changes four our game two days later. I'm a bit disappointed he hasn't played more but it seems to have spurred Nathan Tyson on a bit, the last three games has easily been his best of the season and he's now keeping him out of the team. Sod's law really. I work with a Posh fan and he's disappointed he's not played as much. He certainly looked good when he came on today and almost scored within 30 seconds of coming on, but again Tyson was one of our best players again.

BTW, when we went down Rotherham had only 29 points.

20 Brighton 46 7 7 9 24 29 6 5 12 16 36 -25 51

21 Crewe 46 6 8 9 37 38 6 6 11 29 48 -20 50

22 Gillingham 46 10 6 7 22 23 2 8 13 23 43 -21 50

23 Nottm Forest 46 7 10 6 26 28 2 7 14 16 38 -24 44

24 Rotherham 46 2 7 14 17 34 3 7 13 18 35 -34 29

Has Billy Davies said anything about wanting to keep him after the loan is over? Apparently Gary Johnson would like him back for next season, but I dunno, I do think he's good enough to stay in the Championship, just depends if anyone is going to be willing to pay the money for him.

Ah that's good about Rotherham, for some reason on the Posh forum I go on they seemed to think the record was 37pts.

With the world's most powerful investment bank Goldman Sachs making a bid via an international consortium to buy one of the world's greatest football clubs owned by two Yank clowns who've done their best to destroy a great club.

So, over the course of 3 seasons Rafa has spent in total £17.5m. That equates to just £5.8m per season. Hardly enough to expect to continue to challenge for European Champions League Football is it?

Yet over the same period the headline figure that Murdoch Inc have used has been £87.5m. Because that is what has been included in the Annual Financial Reports provided by Liverpool FC.

What this means is that those two Cowboys have robbed Liverpool FC of £70m in 3 years for their own benefit.

..... And you wonder why Rafa Benitez has looked pissed off all these years; when he spent an undisclosed amount (which is Liverpool FC's way under these two Yankie Cowboys) on buying and selling players; when the same Associated Press Report revealed accounts "leaked" showed Liverpool FC only spent £15.5m on buying Torres (not the £19.5m the press reported at the time); and just £5.2m on buying Aquilini (not the £17.5m reported by the media).

No wonder the owners wanted to give the impression that Liverpool were spending more in the transfer market than what they actually were. Outrageous stuff.

*wonders if Craig is having a celebratory curry or planning one* :teresa: Tottenham have produced an excellent result, not over just any team, but Arsenal. :o

^ Thought you'd turn up in here at some point. :heehee:

Sadly, my team lost to Leeds last night. Lot of police present, remembering the aftermath of the Northern Area final second leg of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Happy as a pig rolling about in $h!t tbh

Especially after Sunday for the team to bounce back both physically and psychologically after that to go and beat the enemy is maybe my fave result as a Spurs fan near enough

For the first time ever.....

I'm cheering on Spurs for the second time in a row, strange things happen come near the end of the season :P

ROFL! John Terry sent off! See you later priiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick!

20 minutes to go! Hold on please.

Spurs were triffic. I don't particularly want Man United or Chelsea to win the title but meh, at least it's not just one of them running away with it.

Looks to be a fairly engaging end to the season with everything still to play for. The title, the CL places, the Europa League places and relegation are still wide open and most if not all could come down to the last day.

What a week for Tottenham. :o *wonders when Craig will come back down to Earth* :teresa:

Sadly, Carlisle lost. 2 home defeats on the bounce, I really do wonder what happened to the team that beat MK Dons so convincingly a few weeks ago.

Congratulations to Norwich, Notts County, Rochdale and Stevenage for securing promotion. :cheer:

Newcastle could secure the championship on Monday.

Saw George Boyd, Joe Lewis and Charlie Lee out in Peterborough last night, good times  Shook Lewis and Lee's hand, Boyd was too busy buying about 10 drinks. My mate spoke to all 3 of them, but I was just starstruck LOL. Lewis said he hopes he'll be staying next season, so he'll be off then.....

Two major upsets this weekend, first Chelsea, now Arsenal. :o

Didn't see that coming. Thought Arsenal would have closed the gap.

And yet knowing Spurs you'll still f*** it up.

Spurs fans probably wouldn't care if they did. They beat Arsenal. they're probably planning an open top bus parade to mark that achievement.
