Mehhh this song really isn't grabbing me the way I hoped it would. :( I quite like it, but really when you compare it to some of the other stuff out there atm, it's hardly groundbreaking. It won't have a seven week reign at #1 like Bleeding Love anyway!

That's what I thought - OK but that's about it! I doubt she'll get to number 1 now.

I like it - a different single than what I was expecting. Then again, I don't get the same 'wow' that I got with 'Bleeding Love'. Though it's good that they seem to be emphasizing the fact that Alexandra is different from Leona.

I don't think many expected a ballad as they clearly tried to make her out as an "all-rounder" on X-Factor and an uptempo was always what I predicted to distance herself from Leona. I just wanted an amazing song and this is just a decent throwaway uptempo for me personally.

I agree. I knew she wasn't going to do a ballad, because they wanted Leona (who I wholeheartedly prefer) to be different to Alexandra, but they could've given her a better song. Leona was given "Bleeding Love", and she dominated the charts in 33 countries (by herself). Alexandra has this song (with Flo Rida), and it's not going to do anywhere near as well. Though I do wish her success.

She got an uptempo first single because that's what suits her, not because they wanted to make her different from Leona ! She has always been a great performer, especially on songs like "Don't stop the music", "Toxic", etc. So it was OBVIOUS she needed a first single on which she could show all of her abilities, singing AND dancing.

 

And ANYWAY, she can have a good career without topping the charts in 33 countries ! A story à la Leona ain't gonna happen every year, but that doesn't make Alexandra any bad.

I agree with Aly. I think I like this more than I should do, because it's not the typical first single from an X Factor winner. They have the style of music perfect for her. (Uptempo RnB/Pop). Had they done a ballad, I don't think I'd have been as impressed. I always thought she was quite monotonous on her ballads in X-Factor and thought the uptempo's suited her much more. (This did not include 'Listen' BTW :P)

Because it sounds a bit weird if she has only finished two songs for the album so far, while I earlier read an interview in which she said she had recorded enough songs to release a double album ...

 

Her interview on Capital was quite entertaining though, she is sooo funny :wub:
