Triodopolis for the win plz.

The song gets too many love as far as i see. Including from myself of course! The only two songs i back for the win are Angelicland and Triodopolis' GO THEM. YEAHH ETC

That's the end of the Kid's channels is it not?

I might not get it then. I haven't got many channels, just music and variety packs.

Change to home where we have everything and the HD channels.

Anna//Tone would be perfect for TMF/MTVhits/TheBox etc. too :kink:

yeah, it's one of the free kids channels, I don't have any of the packs, I have Freesat, still get tons of channels though :o

I'd say vice versa :P

I don't think anyone other than Tyron really thinks it'll come top3

I initially saw it coming top 3...I still think it's got a big chance of top 5!

Ah i see.

My flat mate is wantin to add documentaries for £1/month

Movies and Sports are like £8/month each :o

We were going to get Virgin and just pay the £1/month to get Sky1, but our building isn't cabled despite being less than 18months old

Nothing wrong with predicting your own entry to do well, why would you bother sending a song that you were expecting nobody else to like? it would rather defeat the purpose of attempting to introduce people to new music that they might like. Having said that, I feel a bit guilty putting myself towards the top of the odds this month :heehee: I'm just trying to look at it from an outsiders point of view...if the song was being sent by any other country, I'd give it exactly the same odds.

It's very hard to predict how your own song will do as you obviously have a much closer attachment to your own entry than any other entry in the competition and there is always the danger that it will do a Headhunted/Love Etc/Superhuman/most Ashton entries (:snif:) which could leave you looking a bit stupid if you'd predicted yourself to come top 5 and it trails in 22nd  having said that, it always irritates me when a country has a certain top 3 on their hands and puts it at 40/1 in their odds or something :heehee:

still, I was very realistic with Example, even though as the host I wasn't allowed to give odds, had I been able to, I would have given it odds of about 80/1

Haffi's flop was expected, but the rest.... :snif:

I know! there's a reason I always expect you in the top ten, because I genuinely believe that your entries are of that quality, original and nearly always excellent...I guess I should start factoring in the power of the release schedule and push everything else down 10 places :heehee:

Oh no, there's nothing wrong with predicting themselves to do well, but Kath & Tron usually give themselves better predictions than others predict them (if that makes sense). But, you may send a song nobody likes, as pointed out before, some people send songs because they want others to hear them, like it or not. But, there's nothing wrong with hyping yourselves up, that's not what I was saying at all!

I hate that bloody release schedule. [[For the record, Boys Will Be Boys isn't on the thing yet]]

We chose the tracks the same way as we used to, and we've always had a distinctively Ashtonise sound, it just doesn't seem to be working anymore

We're still going for Originality/Quality and just down right epicness over good finishes :smoke:

oh I see :heehee: I guess with everyone else predicting Anna to do so well, if I suddenly chipped in with a prediction of 10th place for it, it might seem a bit odd!?! Kath and Tyron always predict themselves to do well, I guess they are just naturally confident of their chances...Kopecka's few flops have on the whole been surprising to me (Janelle, Little Boots, NASA) but Jasmine was always going to flop hard, it was really underwhelming...I can't remember what odds he gave it though...Kath I think is just building up hype around her entries...people will always pay more attention to a song if somebody proclaims their entry to be a certain winner...if only to see what all the fuss is about! Although, over confidence in a song nobody else likes can cause huge backlash (see Headhunted!)...

I actually did send Example just to force everyone to listen to it, I absolutely knew it would flop but the beauty of knowing you are auto-qualified to the final is that it's a fantastic opportunity to send a more risky entry, knowing that every BJSC participant will have to hear it, not just 25 semi finalists, but all 50 participants

I still find all of my entries from completely different sources...sometimes 'a certain blog', sometimes at live concerts, and of course my favourite - random MySpace finds...Pixie was the ultimate MySpace find I reckon, a year before she unexpectedly became Britain's biggest teen idol!

i loved and still love Example

it got a lot more support than I thought it would, I was expecting last place with about 20 points if I'm completely honest

I'm glad it was picked as a single and now looks set to be a hit  although the buzz around it doesn't seem to be that big considering it's on the Radio 1 playlist, but I guess he's heading for a top 20/30 with it

My main source is Myspace [RBW, LA-I Don't Know, CT, Lorelei] It was my iTunes for a while [babes, Gabby C, Mutya, Laura C]

Youtube is on the up for me though recently, Boys Will Be Boys appeared as a recommendation on the homepage, i came across Nevio/Cilmi while looking for a different Cilmi track

Only Haffi came from a blog :o

I really hope RBW make it, and Colour Me Dirty gets to hit the top spot  Love that track so so so much

Talking of seeing Ashvia entries on TV i saw Example on MTVDance just the other day :w00t: Still love it

Oh, of course, you've got to be realistic, I predicted Mini Viva to finish 7th, I recall, which wasn't far off, as it did seem like it would do well. And, you would be a fool not to put Anna Abreu at least Top 6, let's say. And, fair enough for Tron to put The Sound Of Arrows & Priscilla up there...they were always bound to do well, so why not put them up there..and the tactic Kath uses never seems to work as she's the only one hyping it, but you've got to love her for trying
