Maybe Elin needs to go on the banlist :drama: can artists be banned entirely? :kink:

I'm serious when I say I thought about this. Because Katy Perry will be sent with 'E.T.' (which could potentially win imo) regardless of whether or not 'California Gurls' gets banned or not. So I think it shouldn't be tracks, it should be artists for the months that they're banned etc...

Agreed - I think the mods could consider implementing this somehow (maybe on top of the 3 songs we could also vote for 1 artist to ban outright for 1 month only or something). Banning Elin Lanto would be a bit extreme I guess but I'm with you on Katy Perry definitely.

I wouldn't say it will win but it will finish top 3 with ease just like Kelis.

but yeah I'd rather nominate 'E.T.' than 'California Gurls'

If only the Katy Perry forum had been allowed and gone ahead, then "California Gurls" would automatically been banned :drama: Thank God "All The Lovers" is already banned due to the first two singles from an album if they have an artist forum rule

There's at least six songs I can think of to ban. Maybe a song that I'm considering (but would be very cheap) will avoid the ban-list, since people will over-look it in their quest to ban other songs.

I was responsible for one Sheelah listen  BJSC boosts listens for acts like this, Stoffer & Maskinen's song i entered stormed into the 2nd place right after even though it was only about 8th before  :o

I've listened to Psycho 51 times on iTunes but sadly I don't link it to last.fm :( I'm letting the side down as most of my BJSC entries this year I've listened to less than 40 times, whereas I've listened to the likes of M.A.G.I.C. and Music Everywhere over 150 times each :o
Hardly any of the Sheelah plays came from me as I had it tagged wrong as Sheila on my media player up until a few days ago :heehee:

Yeah, I got really confused with the title and band name

RTVN plan BJSC Twenty Seven

Ricardo Delta, head of RTVN, has been discussing plans for the 27th contest, which will be held for the 4th time in FSR Rontvia next month. Asked how FSR Rontvia can possibly follow Psycho, the first complete unknown winner since Robots In Love, a full year ago, Mr Delta said 'We have a few options to consider. Elin Lanto is on the radar around The Buzzjack World at the moment, and we're interested in using her song Funeral, however, we are aware that the mass hype around it has cheapened it a little bit, as well as the fact that Elin has already had two BJSC top ten's before'. We are also considering our first ever foreign language entry, feeling that this would be the perfect opportunity to do so, seeing as we will be part of the final whichever way the vote goes.' BJSC Twenty Seven is shaping up to be very big indeed, but it's not yet known which format the contest will take.

I've listened to it 48 times, the most of any song from the contest :o I was obsessed for the first two days, I played it non-stop, but I think that killed it for me slightly. Although because I scrobbled the plays from iTunes, I don't think they add it on the songs page.

Wow :o almost as many times I've played it (53 now)!

Those plays were mostly made during the first two days after I downloaded it. I think I listened to it 26 times on the first night, I was obsessed :P But I've slowed down the amount I've listened to it, so I don't expect the play count will rise that quickly anymore, although that being said it will be one of the few songs I will continue to listen to, long after the contest is over.

Fair enough. Wow! 26 times in one night :o Even if I'm obsessed with something I try to limit it to a couple of plays a day or it kills it for me :drama: Glad you still like it though!

I played it twice. :P

But I don't use iTunes/last.fm/whatever anyway. ;)

Lena Meyer-Landrut & Ellie Goulding will be representing FSR Rontvia in BJSC Twenty Seven, which we will be hosting!!! The duet Not Following, led by Lena on the verses, with the duo both singing on the chorus and the final verse, brings together German superstar Lena, fresh from her Eurovision win with Rontvian record breaking hit single Satellite, and UK talent and rising star Ellie Goulding, who won the BJSC for BaNG previously with Under The Sheets.

The song is currently #3 in the Rontvian charts, whilst Satellite remains at #1, giving Lena simultaneous top three hits. RTVN spokesperson and executive producer of BJSC Twenty Seven, Ricardo Delta, said 'Lena is by far the biggest star to emerge this year in FSR Rontvia and it would be criminal not to send her at least once. She is said to be thrilled to be sharing the opportunity with Ellie, former BJSC winner, who wrote the song Not Following.'

Not a fan, tbh.

The song is kinda boring, and Lena's voice isn't interesting enough to compensate that. Ellie's is but her parts are too short. I expected more, sorry. :P
