During the 60s, many charts included albums in the singles chart...as it was a reflection of biggest selling records in one. The biggest album that made the singles top 20, was "With The Beatles" in December 1963. It got to #11 in the singles chart. In that same week they achieved, a further 5 combinations of singles/EPs in the top 20. Never to be beaten. I believe a wrong telling Scott Mills did try to tell us, that Elvis had 9 singles in the top 40 singles at the beginning of September 1977. This was actually very incorrect of Mills, because Elvis only had 2 top 40 singles that week (Way Down & It`s Now Or Never). The other 7 singles were in the top 50. Michael Jackson managed to get 5 in the top 20, and 13 in the 40, the week after he "apparently" died. Overall the album top 3 is very close this week, and it is likely that Vera may take top spot this Sunday. I kid you not! ;) Here is the Flashback...to Sept 1990. September 11, 200915 yr Thanks Dave! Madonna number one next week, and Shakira thenafter pls :kink: Also surprised to see Beatles Rock Band so low on games, but I guess that it's a combination of limited sales time, and possibly overhyping :(
September 11, 200915 yr Shakira may make a surprise showing in the top 40 this week like Sexy Bitch (though that wasn't a surprise to me at all tbh!) She's number fecking ELEVEN on iTunes already :o

Where will they line up? We don't have any sales info right? David can't be too far off Pixie, and I think the way he closed in on Sugas and made up like 6k in three days last week, he could be #1. Also, surely you mean Shakira/Madonna/Cliff/Taio? Mariah will not go near the top ten imo. Paramore and Paloma could also go in and make it six new entries (or seven if Mariah does it). How exciting! :D I think Shakira will chart at around the top 15 (hopefully not knocking TTT from top 15 though) and Jamie T's Sticks 'N' Stones will be a little higher than top 70 (back in the top 40 on iTunes! :o). I really really hope that Mumford & Sons actually hold top 75 this week, they seem to have been more consistently top 75 on iTunes so far this week but the weekend effect hits them hard :( Edited September 11, 200915 yr by Brayden

September 11, 200915 yr If you`re thinking The albums are close this week, then so are the singles...that`s why I`m not giving any idea of figures this week! Ooh, that frightens me slightly  I hope Pixie can scrape it! Thanks for this.
September 11, 200915 yr If David Guetta does reclaim the #1 this week, this is only the second year since charts began (the other being 1954) where three separate songs had two separate runs at #1 within one chart year (The Stargazers - 'I See The Moon', Doris Day - 'Secret Love' and Don Cornell - 'Hold My Hand' in 1954 compared to The Black Eyed Peas - 'Boom Boom Pow', The Black Eyed Peas - 'I Gotta Feeling' and David Guetta featuring Akon - 'Sexy Bitch' in 2009). 1998 had three songs returning to #1 within the year (Various Artists - 'Perfect Day', Céline Dion - 'My Heart Will Go On' and All Saint - 'Under The Bridge / Lady Marmalade') but Perfect Day's first run was in 1997, so it doesn't quite count.
