September 8, 200915 yr I think Kopecka will finish ever so slightly higher but both in the top 5 wouldn't surprise me at all
September 8, 200915 yr Author Did you have evil for lunch or something? or stolen my claws. :( Ill means no bitchy Phil
September 8, 200915 yr Author It kinda just gets bottled up and unleashed in a uberbitchfest when i'm feeling better though :( Seriously, by Saturday i'd have enough bottled up to win Bitch of the Year
September 8, 200915 yr Author random innocents about dundee will no doubt get most of it. :( In all fairness if they actually looked in the mirror before leaving the house i wouldn't have anywhere near as much material.
September 9, 200915 yr I would LOVE another case of Kopecka COULDAWOULDASHOULDA but I fear for my life/mod position if I beat you :( INEVITABLE.

September 10, 200915 yr Another second? Really? Thanks but I think we've worked out that I'm going to come 8th-13th now  Tbh tho, that would be the most amazing top 6
September 10, 200915 yr Ummm, not really :nocheer: Finally, someone who agrees with me! The Sound Of Arrows are bollocks, and the only reason they've been sent, is so someone else couldn't (the same situation as Alcazar last month :puke2:). Also, Anna Abreu and Tone Damli Aaberge's songs are really average at best, but the lyrics are goddamnawful, I don't want to hear a song about you waking up/listening to your iPod kthnx. And finally, Alphabeat's song is good at best, it's nothing special, and was only entered for an easy qualifier. In a positive light, Elek-Tro Junkies and David Guetta are good, but yet again, there's the cheap bug (for David Guetta) :nocheer:
September 10, 200915 yr :heehee: Boys & Girls is hardly Shakespeare if you're fussed about lyrics Theo ('I need my ladies to put their little dresses on') although I do really like the song, so I can't fault it musically

Alphabeat is top 3 on my personal chart already, I adored their first album, and I knew how great the track would be as soon as I heard the clip. In the case of Alcazar, I didn't send it so no one else could. I sent it because I loved it, it was the right time to be sent, and I had no idea what else to send. I love Kopecka and Ashton's songs, and it is nothing to do with who they are. The Sound Of Arrows is beautiful and emotional with a stunning video, Tone is instantly catchy, the kind of thing I find myself humming all day, and very radio friendly, easy to listen to. People can't choose what they like, and they base it on different things, but the lyrics of Music Everywhere really speak to me. I empathize with them, and therefore like the song and enjoy listening to it. As for using the phrase "kthnx" in a serious discussion... :heehee:
September 10, 200915 yr Of course there will be people unhappy with the songs in this contest, I wasn't overjoyed by the top ten in BJSCX but for others it's seen as the strongest top ten to date because it had a very alternative feel to it. No song can possibly be expected to appeal to all 50 odd contestants, it's a near impossibility to find something like that...Kath came closest with Silly Boy but it still had people that called it demoish, average, overrated etc... It's been ages since pure pop dominated a contest, it's been electro pop for almost the whole of 2009...I expect some other genre will take over very soon as is the norm in BJSC

Care to glance at my signature? You will find that my entry was my favourite song of last month. The fact that it is a glorious and uplifting piece of pop which I adore is the reason I've sent it (and for the record this response has nothing to do with the fact you dislike it, more the fact you made such a ridiculous presumption), nothing to do with sending it so someone else couldn't (I think you'll also find that in cases where people have not wanted things to be sent, they kept the reservation until reservations ended rather than sending it themselves). Given that Tom quite rightly adores The Spell, and more to the point AUTOQUALIFIED in the first place (although granted he would have gone riskier had he known in advance - who wouldn't have gone riskier?), I also doubt that that was only sent for the 'easy qualifier'. Have the courtesy to actually read what people say about their opinions on their own entries before you so rudely presume that some of the few bastions of anti-cheapness in this contest are taking it for a ride, hmm?
September 10, 200915 yr I'm more than happy that Into The Clouds has been sent, I wouldn't have sent it to XXI so it would have been petty to have kept it reserved until the last minute to prevent somebody else from sending it...it's a beautiful song that deserves to be heard by as many people as possible (50+ new listeners in this case!) and I'm happy to see it in the contest :D
September 10, 200915 yr Can someone please put me in the Bottom 8 at least :snif: Hendinia have only been mentioned in 1 prediction. Edited September 10, 200915 yr by Robot
