September 6, 200915 yr I know I'm not a mod - but I think it be wise for people not to vote at the moment, Casey claims he voted in the semis so he would qualify if that was the case, it would be wise not to vote until we sort out what happened.

In the midst of this BaNG situation, the mod team have decided to allow BaNG to participate in the final but for fairness we won't be chucking anyone out and having a one off final of 29. After some consideration, the moderating team have decided to allow BaNG to participate in the final of XX due to the extenuating circumstances whereby his votes were either lost, not sent, or sent to the wrong person without him knowing. However, we would like to emphasise that this is entirely a one-off and can not be used as a get-out-of-jail clause for non-voters as such. In order to prevent this from happening again, two things are to happen. 1) In the future, the moderating team and hosts will take no responsibility whatsoever for lost votes (unless it's our fault obv, in which case we'll ask you to resend them). It will be your responsibility to ensure that your votes have been received, be it by checking the list in the first post to see that your votes have been counted or whatnot, or by requesting a reply to your voting PM. HOWEVER, we appreciate that this may not be enough, and as such we are enacting the following from now on: 2) ALL HOSTS MUST IN SOME NOTICEABLE (i.e. other than the first post, which doesn't alert when it is updated) WAY ANNOUNCE THEY HAVE RECEIVED SOMEONE'S VOTES. This can happen in one of two ways: either by responding via PM to their votes, or by making a new post in the thread saying who they have received votes from since they last updated. We do appreciate that this may be a tad annoying and increases workload a little, but as we can see from cases like these, it's better to be safe than sorry. So, two pieces of advice - ALWAYS make sure you've sent your votes to the right person (i.e. I'm almost certain that BaNG may have sent his votes to a ghost user named Kath rather than Mwa Kath Mwa), and unless it's absolutely impossible DON'T leave your votes to the last minute - you're always playing with fire if you do. Have a nice final ^_^
