Posted September 11, 200915 yr THE frantic family of Suga-babe Amelle Berrabah feared she had been KIDNAPPED after she "vanished" mysteriously for days, The Sun can reveal. The gorgeous singer went missing after a massive bust-up with bandmate Keisha Buchanan. She WALKED OUT on the smash-hit group, MISSED a string of public appearances including a nightclub gig and FAILED to respond to calls from her management. Her family could not contact her either. And on Wednesday they alerted cops because they were terrified she had been abducted. But yesterday police tracked her down to her North London home, where she had locked herself away. Amelle, 25, told them she was safe. But she was desperately unhappy and needed a break after a run-in with hot-headed Keisha, 24. Last night a close friend told The Sun Amelle had become depressed over what she felt was jealousy within the group over her recent No1 collaboration with Tinchy Stryder, Never Leave You. She also featured heavily in the raunchy video for the Sugababes' latest hit Get Sexy. The friend said: "She is deeply unhappy at the moment and is scared of Keisha. "She still loves the band and the last thing she wants to do is quit. But the problem needs to be addressed because she feels she is being bullied. "Keisha will just have digs at her throughout the day and it has been going on for months. It has got worse since Amelle had the Tinchy Stryder single and featured big-time in the Get Sexy video. Keisha is very dominating while Amelle is quite placid." Amelle's missed public appearances included a gig at London's Movida club on Tuesday night. Keisha and the third Sugababe, 26-year-old Heidi Range, filled the gap by inviting a fan to sing with them on stage. Amelle's family raised the alarm over her apparent disappearance from her home town of Aldershot, Hants. Hampshire Police passed on a missing persons report to the Metropolitan force. And officers found her before a kidnap unit was alerted. The Sugababes are due to jet to America next week to film the video for a single from album Sweet 7. Amelle - whose sister Zakiya insists she has been lying low simply because she has tonsillitis - has told a pal she will make the flight. And she said she had been shocked by the police turning up at her house. Amelle is not unfamiliar with controversy and drama. Last year she said she came close to a nervous breakdown after her sister Samiya accused her traveller boyfriend Freddie Fuller of rape. Freddie was released without charge after it was established he was five miles away from the alleged incident. In January last year Amelle was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage to a car in Aldershot. But no charges followed. The arrest came soon after Freddie nearly lost an arm in a savage machete attack outside a pub in the town. In April 2007 Amelle was arrested over allegations she assaulted an 18-year-old girl on the dancefloor of a bar in Guildford, Surrey. About me bullying Amelle, not being supportive, blah blah blah. Ive let the papers tell lies about me when it comes to stories like that... In the past, I've let members talk crap about me and tried to laugh it off because I know the truth, my friends, family and MOST of... GOD. But not anymore. I may come across as a hard nut sometimes, but i'm actually really sensitive and it destroys me to think... That people today are going to read that and believe it. I feel like no one EVER bothers to look deep in2 the sugababes story... They see me as the longest standing member and assume that I'm the bitch who causes people to walk, and its totally untrue and unfair... All I've ever done is work my ass off, trying to keep the dream alive, because I love the fans and my job. I don't give a $h!t about being... Famous, we're all on the same level. I've always put this band b4 me & never thought that I was bigger than it...its a great team effort... TRUTH: I'm going 2 say that its fair 2 say in the 1st line up that there were arguments, certain parents were involved then callin shots... Which caused a lot of $h!t. And with the current line up, I can honestly say that we all get along! I'm sure we bug each other at times... but I love them girls. And there has NEVER been bullying in sugababes EVER! I don't know what to do anymore... Ill take a lie detector... Test to prove everything if I have to. I'm sick of this:-( I'm so crushed guys, but I know God is under control, so ill b down 2day... But I'm a strong girl & will get back up. All I ask is for u not to judge me please, but get to know my heart, give me a chance and... Don't believe what u have heard/read about me. It took 3 people to write that story according to the sun. It might not be all lies to be honest, It's been rumoured for years that Keisha is "bitchy". I'm sure Mutya said as much when she left the band... Mutya was the Bitch until she left, when she tried to clear her name and say that she was not in fact a bitch and that there had been no bullying whatsoever. Mutya didn't say K had been a bitch iirc. There was rumours of stuff happenin between the pair after Mutya had left, and Mut slagged H and K for the way they treated her after she quit. Oh and i love Amelles contriubution. I'm not bloody missing! There has only been one big Sugafight in v2.0/3.0 and that was in 2004 between K an H over Toxic.
