'Kids' is my favourite song from the album, and easily one of my favourite songs of 2008 so expect it to do big things in the near future. The rest of the top 5 are all fallers, and the rest of the chart is a bit static with 3 non-movers in the bottom half of the chart. My choice for best songs designed for the modern men is: 1 Kings Of Leon - Sex On Fire - Not impressive by any standards but quite enjoyable, nonetheless. 3 Biffy Clyro - Mountains - Arguably the second best indie song of the year, hot on the heels of the Mysery Jets' "Two Doors Down". 3 Does It Offend You, Yeah? - Dawn Of The Dead - electro indie-pop at best. Could it get any better on the electro camp? It could, people should check "Epic Last Song" for an even further mind-blowing treatment. 5 Glasvegas - Daddy's Gone - I wish this would be brilliant, but it's not! It's nice with a pinch of very good, though. 6 We Are Scientists - Impatience - Now that's what I call brilliant! They do it again with another great record... yes, even better than "After Hours". 7 Mystery Jets - Half In Love With Elizabeth - Two kick-ass songs in a row for them. I wish they were more successful, though. 8 Bloc Party - Mercury - What a direction they've taken... from strictly indie guitar-based pop to electro dance rock in only 3 years. Always nice, though. This and "Flux" are there with their best efforts. 9 Young Knives - Dyed In The Wool - Not bad, not amazing either but cool enough to be on the "good songs Luciano enjoys" league. 10 Infadels - A Million Pieces - How could they top "Free Things For Poor People" or "Make Mistakes"? They can't! But at least they tried and offered us this, a decent to good enough number that makes us think they even entertain with the least impressive effort. ^_^

August 25, 200816 yr favourites from my favourite chart: 3 Biffy Clyro - Mountains [1-1-1-1-2-3] this is epic live 3 Does It Offend You, Yeah? - Dawn Of The Dead [2-2-3-4] im sure this is great live but i wouldnt miss RATM for them. 6 We Are Scientists - Impatience [7-6-6] this is alright live 7 Mystery Jets - Half In Love With Elizabeth [4-3-5-7] i missed them at reading and apparently Keith Murray came 8 Bloc Party - Mercury [7-7-6-5-4-7-8] at Reading when Kele came on stage and started talking and then he said i have one more thing to say... 'My Mercury's in Retrograde' it was mental, intresting choice of set opner though. 9 Young Knives - Dyed In The Wool [5-2-2-2-3-5-9-9] 10 Infadels - A Million Pieces [9-10-10] these bands are dull and didnt play Reading as i saw most the tracks live this weekend i thought i would give a short commentry :kink:
