Chart Commentary
Passion Pit bag a second week at the top with 'The Reeling', a spring song which would sound more apt during summer being played at a ridiculous volume at some mindless outdoor venue. FACT OF THE DAY: Passion Pit are the first artists whose name begins with P to have a chart no.1 since Primal Scream went top back in 2006 with 'Country Girl'. I know, breathtaking. Speaking of random records, Kasabian become the first ever artist to have 2 hits from the same album in the top 3 at the same time as their forthcoming single 'Fire' storms straight into the chart at no.2. This also means that as a group they've spent the last 4 weeks consecutively in 2nd place. Maccabees are one of only two climbers in this week's top ten, the other being an unusual rise from previously bottom-placed 'Skeleton Boy' up a place to 9th. Former no.1 'Signs' continues its steady decline and this week finds itself on the very brink of the top 5. Elsewhere, with the exception of The Killers and their so-so new single, it's fallers ahoy.

You should check out both Kasabian's new songs, as well as Underdog and Fast Fuse Nick - all excellent. Shaping up to be album of the year imo
