I think it will just be about the Brannings but it would be nice to see some fleeting mentions or hints, like if a couple you didn’t expect were holding hands or kissing, or if there was a mention to someone being dead. Obviously it was a time skip not a flash forward, but Hollyoaks did it really well where you had things happening or shown such as pregnancies and relationships that would be explained in later episodes but there was speculation and theories which had people talking and grabbed your attention. I don’t expect there will be too much or else they box themselves in for 2026 but then I suppose the next year or so is mapped out anyway at least a bit as I know stories are planned a lot ahead. I wouldn’t be shocked if we saw someone like Max, Jack or Cindy die or a big return like Tanya, for them to keep it secret and not do a 6am showing. A death would be too much like The Six and a flash forward might be gimmicky, but I think it’s the best thing the show can do right now to ignite some hype.

I feel like sadly it was about to the right time for Mya to go, she’s done decently but based on the lipsyncs I think her and Van were the weakest and it was based I this episode he time to go. Velma I think still did really well in her first lipsync, given she didn’t get to choose and had probably the song that suits her the least, she still attacked it and put her stamp on it instead of giving up or phoning it in. This is a really strong cast bc put Velma or Mya on season 3, 4 or 5 and they could win the even thing! I still do think Karamilk and PM should not have gone further in this show than them but for this episode, it was about right if not Van but she was not going anywhere. Velma and Mya did really well this season due to the comedy challenges we’ve had but the better performers in Karamilk and PM were never going to leave before them in a lipsync slay off. PM murdered that bottom 3 lipsync, when it really comes down to survival she absolutely kills a lipsync and I have to give her flowers for that. It was like a time lapse scene from a movie, stunning. Eboni is 10000% my winner, she is such a magnetic performer and ate all 3 lipsyncs, plus she is funny, charismatic, the best all round queen.

Michelle Ryan said she found out 10 days before filming the reveal that Jasmine was Zoe’s daughter, I do think they’ve made it up as they go along and Jasmine was possibly meant to be a Ford but they dropped it for whatever reason. Maybe they couldn’t get the right casting for the supposedly only surviving twin and just thought Jasmine will do

A fake out bottom 2 is psychological warfare lol Also episode 2 is girl groups, it seems like the talent show is episode 5 but also is still split?! Idk that’s odd for mid season but with the Briar Blush medevac I suppose a non elim makes sense to make the numbers work again or something

That Christening was high camp, I knew bringing Max back would be worth it if nothing else. The Slaters and Jasmine also work really well, funnily enough without Zoe is the first time they’ve worked for months

I’ll almost forgive Ben Wadey for everything he’s done if New Year’s Day has a Tanya return, but I just can’t see it happening even temporarily. Of course Abi should be back for this Branning revival in a just world :(

God how awful :( She was a camp presence in this season for better or for worse lol, one I’ll remember for sure.

I just can’t fathom any of this I mean Zoe just finding out about Jasmine and it being all fine would be boring but at least I could see why Michelle might find that to be a good script or would enjoy the storyline, and it moves her plot along at least. She must have been held at gunpoint to say anything positive about these episodes.

Not a single redeeming factor, that was just beyond laughable. Again as I said it really does feel like fanfiction, terribly written pointless plots that go nowhere. They made a plot device out of everyone involved, Sam feels like a spare part despite the fact she be shining with an importent issue based storyline right now. Antony got brought back just to assassinate a character nobody cared for anyway, and when he could have been a bit of a camp villain they just killed him off. Zoe is still going round in circles, Jasmine is still brooding around. Nothing is resolved or has gone anywhere. Utterly woeful and a total nadir, I didn’t think this show could get worse. Chrissie coming back and killing someone else would have been convoluted and OTT but at least something would have happened. What was the point of any of that?! Pure nostalgia slop fanfic with absolutely zero payoff. Although I suppose Zoe going to prison and ending her reign of terror would be a payoff.

There is no reason to it, to me this just feels like a 10 year old writing convoluted fanfiction to bring back Chrissy and Zoe in 2006 Why would Chrissie, finally out of prison with the man she waited 20 years for, spend her freedom chasing around after Zoe Slater who didn’t really do anything to her anyway?! I just can’t ne excited about noted Zionist transphobe TAO on my screen, that heinous woman should not have any airtime, idc about the character. I think Chrissy’s story ended fine with the Sharon saga last time she came back and left with Jake. I genuinely think jasmine is gonna get like stabbed or shot and die instead of Zoe tomorrow
