A recast would be good, they need to focus on building up the next generation somewhat I think. Amy and Will as Mitchells should be the forefront of that, they’ve done well with Oscar they could surely boost up those.

Abhora is running away with this, they have actually come back as a fully realised evolved version of themselves and grabbed this chance by the horns. Whereas you look at Evah who is doing the same shit time and again and is arguably more annoying than ever lol

They either need to go properly back to basics or honestly for me even try the US format, what they’re doing is not working. I think the competitions of the US format would mean there is something with stakes, not just endless tasks that mean nothing. It also provides a format to follow, I think with this they are kind of all over the place in terms of evictions, how many are up etc., I think the US format would give a bit of a framework but still allow for the odd twist where needed such as a double eviction or some powers. But I don’t think ITV will do it, they just cannot be arsed and I think they do just see it as an easy show to produce and get some viewers even if viewing figures fall. I think with the Traitors being popular I can’t see why it’s not the time to inject some more gameplay? I know that’s not really Big Brother as such and some fans might hate it but I don’t think they’ve got anything to lose by trying it. I honestly cannot be arsed with this insane sterile shite yet again next year The landscape of TV has changed so much since BB was last on C5 and immensely since the show began, I’m not sure a bunch of people in a house cuts it anymore. Make it competitive, make people show a fire to stay. That would rely on casting I think but I can’t see why they shouldn’t swing big. It might fail, but so will keeping at what they’re doing. Going completely back to basics I think could work too, but it would rely on impeccable casting. I think Teja, Richard and maybe Elsa were really the only great casting choices this season, they are focusing far too much on political views and thinking that causes drama when in reality it hasn’t, not least because Caroline had 0 backbone and didn’t argue or back up her views anyway. Cameron I even think they cast because of the farmers tax thing but he turned out less right wing than they wanted. We just want a bunch of weirdos and some nice, normal people, then the drama will bring itself snd that’s the beauty of Big Brother. And make it a tough experience, put them up for eviction if they talk about nominations! The Australian one has just come back this week and is a bit more back to basics (they had previously had a few years of US format but it was pre recorded and went down like a lead balloon) and it’s good so far, they didn’t have their suitcases as a simple launch might twist and even that has caused a bit of discord and drama, but they also have 24/7 live feed which I think has helped immersion for the audience and provided talking points etc

Big Brother is back on channel 10 after 17 years! It’s even on their YouTube for anyone who wishes to watch particularly when UK finishes and they might have a void to fill, episodes get posted 24 hours after airing in Australia. Decent solid start, very much back to basics but in places does feel a little sterile, I’m a couple of episodes behind so we’ll see. I love Colin, Abiola, Coco, Alanna, Connor and Mia so far. I liked the simple launch twist of them not having their suitcases, naturally caused a bit of friction. I do hate that 2 out of 3 older people are horrid right wing anti woke lunatics though D:

So the triple win at top 5 is another new Canada innovation. It’s a bit like the triple roast/choreo/styling thing from France 3 that Lula won but its performance/looks/comedy and the format is each queen has to compete until they get a win and the last two queens are bottom 2 and must lipsync. Also for the design/snatch game there may be a queen who gets a “disadvantage” and has to do both, it would have been camp if they won both lol

Drag Race UK loves a two badge queen not making the finale as well - Dakota, A’Whora and Bonnie. The former two being very much questionable, it sounds like Bonnie’s is not lol

Stopped watching weeks ago but would love Teja to win as she’s a Bristol girl but mostly she is absolutely lush and for an 18 year old, really astute and a great representation for young people and left wing people. She held her own against people, always stayed firm and had a fair discussion when to be fair I don’t think I could with the likes of George and Caroline! If more of the upcoming generation of young adults were like her we’d have a bright bright future. Can’t help feeling like she’ll be a shock 5th/6th.

Omg Blush lol, I think the band was TP4Y or something and it did get rescinded I remember like maybe 4 or 5 of us myself included hyped it up and you weren’t supposed to reveal your entry but at the time people were doing basically “national finals” and it was an open secret basically what people entered anyway so we all felt it was unfair and it did get overturned. One I remember as well is like 8 people including me trying to enter Water Under The Rocks by Faye so it got vetoed and never ended up getting sent afaik, I think similar happened with Billie - Give Me The Knife

What are they even trying to do with Ravi, he would so well as an anti hero type especially now he’s got Priya, but they’ve dragged him down into this cuckooing storyline. A kind of morally gray criminal who was doing it for his family you kind of root for is an interesting character arc.

The lipsync is Song 4 Mutya and I’m sure I saw that Catrin doesn’t know much of it but Bonnie basically knows none, I’ve wanted a lipsync to that for ages so it’s a shame it gets wasted :( Everyone also apparently does pretty well except Bonnie who bombs but Bones is the clear winner, so it’s one of those weeks where she just bombs totally and I guess there’s no saving her.
