  1. Surprised there wasn’t a large boost for 3 Lions or Sweet Caroline
  2. I’m kinda liking the quicker turnover at the top so I’d be here for a new number one this week again.

I second this! It’s been a great week for Leona, I hope she’s feeling the love.
  4. This Groove / Let Your Head Go by Victoria Beckham. Oath by Cher Lloyd. For a while I See You by Leona but that was added a couple of years back.

It’s a shame that we have so many legendary artists who are under-certified because much of their sales pre 1994 aren’t recognised.
  6. Anyone else think Ravyn and MK had the same Spotify streams for a second there? 🤣
  7. Is Rock That Body going viral on tik tok?

Yes and similarly with Celine Dion I was surprised at how low My Heart Will Go On was on her list of most streamed songs as some consider it her signature song. But when you actually think about how often people might be in the mood to listen to it, you can start to see how more upbeat hits are going up the list.

Does Leona Lewis not get a credit for You Are The Reason? I thought the duet version was the most popular.
  10. Still pains me that DWAS stalled at #2.
  11. DWAS has been #1 on global Spotify for 195 non-consecutive days. I hope it can reach 200 days but either way it will be almost impossible to beat that record.
  12. Yeah Ariana’s BreakFree was prevented from charting due to the instant gratification rule at the time. Similarly Do What U Want by Lady Gaga didn’t chart for its first few weeks until ARTPOP came out as instant grats weren’t chart eligible. It would’ve had a couple of extra weeks top 10 had it been able to chart. Interesting point on Fleur East’s version of Uptown Funk. I remember she performed it on X Factor as a contestant before the song had even been released by Bruno / Mark. It was an interesting promotional technique which paid off big time as the song went on to be huge. I’m guessing X Factor contestant performances weren’t chart eligible because it might’ve been seen as favouriting certain contestants who did well on downloads etc.
  13. What’s caused Charli to rise?
  14. Is Ed off to a great start on radio? I suppose even if people don’t seek out new music from him they will get bombarded with it on the radio anyway which could explain the rise?
  15. I feel like I’ve been living under a rock, I’ve literally never heard of them until this week. So they gained popularity after going viral on tik tok? But I understand they already had a fan base before that?
