Can't believe 'Just Give Me a Reason' was denied the Number 1 spot by that kid's TV garbage. I don't understand the hype of Jason Derulo either. I swear he is obsessed with sex. He never sings about anything else. 😆

Can't stand 1D so this would be right at the bottom of my countdown too. Although, I don't know what other songs we've got coming so it might change. It always makes me cringe seeing a prime minister featured in a music video, especially David Cameron, who I can't stand.

I wasn't a huge fan of 'Blurred Lines' at the time because it was so overplayed throughout 2013. Also, I feel Robin Thicke had better songs throughout his career than this. The lyrics do give me stalker vibes and I think it would get more complaints if it had been released today. The music video looks so cheap as well with hashtags flashing up every 30 seconds.

Does anyone think that 'Ain't In LA' sounds very Zara Larsson?

I love 'We Are Young'. It might be camper than a Brighton bus queue but the vocals are good and it's uplifting. I also liked Janelle Monae too. She's so talented, as a feature artist and solo. It's a shame she didn't have further success.

I do like that Gotye song. I didn't appreciate it at the time but I do now. It sounds different to a lot of the pop music released in 2012 which is why I put it high in my countdown. Gotye and Kimbra's voices go so well together. Shame they were a one-hit wonder. I love the music video too. So creative. Does anyone else think that Gotye sounds like Sting?

Agree that 'Sweet Nothing' sounds better than 'Spectrum'. I think Florence's vocals compliment the Calvin Harris production pretty well. If anything, it elevates it.

I would put 'Gangnam Style' and 'Bom Bom' near the bottom of my countdown. Those songs irritated me so much. Remember going to my friends house party and she was playing 'Gangnam Style' and everyone did the dance, except me. I refuse to do it. 😆

Cover Drive is a band I had completely forgotten about. 'Twilight' is fun and innocent, I suppose. However, I wouldn't listen to it over and over again. 'Heatwave' by Wiley is one of those songs that everyone raved about at the time but I just didn't understand the hype.

I haven't paid attention to the charts for a long time for many of the reasons listed here. I thought I'd have a look on the Official Charts website out of curiosity and found that 'Rein Me In' by Sam Fender has been Number 1 for 17 weeks?! That's insane. It's a good song but it doesn't merit 17 weeks at the top, surely. Also, the song is like a year old.

That just about describes every pop song released in the early 2010s. Then booze got expensive, the world became more divided and the party was over. 😆 The thing about Rita Ora is that I thought she had a great personality and voice but the singles she released did not seem to elevate that. I think 'Radioactive' was her best song. Everything she did after was pretty forgettable.

It's fair to say that Maroon 5's best years were behind them. I find 'Payphone' their weakest song. It's no 'This Love' or 'Sunday Morning'.

Used to love Rickie, Melvin and Charlie at KISS. But I also love them on Radio 1. I think they are a good fit for the station.

The KISS playlist is pathetic at the moment. Would it kill them to put more new music on like they used to? I wouldn't even mind which genres. They can't even manage an hour for their KISSTORY and Hype List slots to break up the monotony. However, they can devote a lot of time to their bloody 'Make Me a Winner' competition. It's the reason I barely listen any more.
