Hero - 2008 charity single #39

How on earth did The Saturdays - Higher drop 4 places to 18.

Unbelievable how dumb some people can be. It even says 2008 in the artist line.

Heroes is number 1 ( :( )

and the lead is already quite big. i'd say x facotr 100%, ellie 75%, jls 50%

I'd love for Hero to re-enter, just because it would be really funny.

The song isn't too bad either. I've not heard Heroes, is it better or worse than the other two singles?

Shakespears Sister back up to #29! :o

No excuse whatsoever, the people buying this could easily donate the money to the charity itself instead. They'd make more from it that way too.

Agreed, but most people only care about charity when it gets shoved in their face.

Yeah, I don't know. There's also the fact that there's a certain section of society that will never like anything the X Factor makes, no matter what. If the X Factor winners single was the best song of all time, they'd still hate it.

Then there's the "The original is ALWAYS better than the cover" brigade, who again, love a song, but when a cover of the song comes out, which could sound almost identical to the original they hate it. I find this mentality disturbing to be honest. I can't understand how there can be two songs so similar, yet someone despises one, and adores the other. And the sad thing is, if the songs were made the other way around, they hate the version that they love, and vice versa.

Then there's the fact that people hate charity songs because they believe they're getting undeserved sales, yet they probably wouldn't hate the song that much if it wasn't for charity, and #1 on iTunes.

So yeah, the song has a lot going against it unfortunately, but it's still doing well. :) And the funniest thing is, if it sells 150,000 this week, people will call it a "flop".

That said, I haven't listened to the song yet. It could be atrocious.

Its ridiculous to be so against a charity single, its for charity, get a grip. I dont like the song but i'm glad its making money for disadvantaged people, and yes people can give money in other ways, and i'm sure they will, but this doesnt just make money it also creates awareness for a cause. Get over it, lighten up and stop being so bludy bitter.

Anyway back to itunes!

Mcfly  #11, so not going to be top 10 for a 3rd week. But doesnt look like it will drop too much, but maybe now out of top10 it could do..

What's My Name #15 :D Hope it sticks around!

Ahh, McFly  to 11. Hope they go back up to 10! BEPs seem to have jumped forward again!

15,000,000 watch the X Factor, and this song might sell, what, 300,000? You do the math.

Why is Jessie releasing today? the song has no airplay whatsoever at the moment, seems a bit strange to release it so early. If tthey wanted to release it early, why didn't they just wait and see whether a "fake" version would enter or whatever?
I'd actually give money to charity if it was to guarantee X-Factor Finalists weren't Top 10!
