Andrea Begley The Message  to #19. Once you take out duplicate albums and EPs, it's #12! It's physicals should be stronger and have a good shot at going top 10! ^_^

It's now  to #12. It's #8 once you take out duplicate versions and compilation albums! Hope it can keep climbing and get a top 10 effect.

I don't think there is a top 10 effect for albums.

I'm sure being top 10 gives a small amount of extra sales. Really small considering the current state of the market.

As livepopbars.com (sans '2') seems to be dead I've changed the link in the first post to the currently working livepopbars2.com link.
Really hard to call given Perry's and Blunt's positons lol

Now  to #7 after her appearance on BBC Breakfast earlier today. When you take out compilation albums/duplicates/preorders, she's at #5!! :w00t:

Probably Arcade Fire for number one - their previous album also made it in 2010 and the same-titled lead single is their most successful worldwide.

No contest, how just to see how their sales compare to The Suburbs. Could get close to its opening week but will struggle to go platinum I reckon.

Everything is out an hour early due to clock changes throwing iTunes out as ever.

Downloaded 'Pure Heroine'. Prepare for slayage *.* I hope she can have a shot at #2, her pre-order has been doing fab (though Arcade Fire definitely have #1 in the bag - not many better artists Lorde could lose out to, I might download 'Reflektor' as well although I've still not even listened to the title track oops, may have to do that first).

Just a little note that if Arcade Fire make number one this Sunday, they will have the 997th album to top the charts. Looks like the 1000th will belong to Robbie Williams or One Direction.

New albums top 200:

1. Reflektor - Arcade Fire

2. Pure Heroine - Lorde

3. BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge 2013 (Deluxe Version) - Various Artists

7. Union J (Deluxe Version) - Union J

8. RECHARGED - LINKIN PARK

14. Lazers Not Included - Wilkinson

18. Union J - Union J

20. Porcelain - Matt Cardle

47. Black Radio 2 (Deluxe Version) - Robert Glasper Experiment

55. This Is What I Do - Boy George

77. Corsicana Lemonade - White Denim

80. Aleph - Gesaffelstein

125. That's What Happens - Chas & Dave

153. No Blues - Los Campesinos!

Wilkinson's album is a lot higher than I would have expected, drum n bass isn't normally an album selling genre and he's only had one hit. Matt Cardle doing quite decently, might be a third top 10 album for him.

No surprises that Arcade Fire is number one but I'm not sure what their sales will be like - perhaps ~40k+ at the least? Not too sure of Lorde either; I wouldn't be too surprised if Katy Perry took the #2 place and Lorde was at #3 by Sunday. Matt Cardle should make the Top 10 following the first week success of 'Loving You' and it seems Union J will do too.

1236. Lou Reed - The Best Of Lou Reed [Remastered]

1237. Lou Reed - Lou Reed Live

1238. Lou Reed - Lou Reed

1239. Lou Reed - Sally Can't Dance

Expect a lot of re-peaks and new entries this week since most of Lou Reed's albums as a solo artist and as part of The Velvet Underground flopped really badly - including The Velvet Underground & Nico which has one of the most recognisable album covers (the Andy Warhol banana one).

None of the VU's albums have charted here so that'll look odd on the records. Transformer made #13 before so could potentially repeak.

Was surprised to see Linkin Park in the top 10, wasn't expecting this to do any better than your average live album. Would be great if it could get there officially.

These 4 albums should esily be top 40... I reckon, it be interesting to see what sales info we get next Monday on Lou Reed.

Hopefully we get total sales for Perfect Day, and other singles.

Cant see Arcade Fire sell anymore than 25k, Kay Perry could be no1 again. Not a great amount of albums out this week considering this is the first week in the lead up to xmas, everyone has ignored this week & are starting next week!! Next week could see a number of albums top 10!!

Arcade Fire's last album opened with over 60k... you really think they're going to come down THAT much? Especially as they have just as much hype now if not more (after their Grammy win and whatnot). There's no way they're missing #1 anyway.

Actually, The Velvet Underground & Nico eventually charted in 2002 (which I think was when the first deluxe edition came out). It peaked at 59.

The other three studio albums have never made the Top 75 (not that it was a Top 75 when they were released of course).

It's not a live album though, it's a remix album. Their first one of those peaked at 3, although I would expect this to do less well.
