Posted December 10, 20213 yr Steps ballads don't always get the love they deserve. We all know and love their upbeat songs, but what about their ballads? What are your top 5? I won't list them all here as I might get a few of them wrong but I'm sure we know what they all are. I guess it is also open to personal opinion on whether you think something like 'One For Sorrow' is a ballad. I think it'll be interesting to see what everyone has as their top 5.
December 10, 20213 yr Author I think I'd go with: 1. Under My Skin 2. Why? 3. You're Everything That Matters To Me 4. Hand On Your Heart 5. I Know Him So Well I'm not sure whether Wouldn't Hurt So Bad is classed as a ballad but that'd be right up there if it is. Also just missing out are If You Believe and Hold My Heart.
December 11, 20213 yr I really went for the songs that I define as a ballad. 1. A hundred years of winter 2. Heartbeat 3. Since you took your love away 4. Beautiful battlefield 5. If you believe Not a big fan of their ballads tbh. They have some nice ones like these and I enjoy them the most when Faye has the lead.

December 11, 20213 yr I think we need to clarify what the ballads are first lol I mean I consider The way you make me feel and One for sorrow as ballads but I think the majority consider them uptempo? If we are going for the really slow ones then I am not really a huge fan tbh would probably go with: 1. Heartbeat 2. I know him so well 3. Beautiful battlefield 4. Words are not enough 5. Dear Santa
December 11, 20213 yr Author I’d probably consider One For Sorrow mid tempo. It’s The Way You Make Me Feel I wouldn’t either but I guess it’s personal opinion. Maybe I should’ve said the slow songs.

December 11, 20213 yr Author Define ballad? I.e. does One For Sorrow count as a ballad I guess it’s what you define as a ballad. I wouldn’t class One For Sorrow as a ballad but if you do that’s fine.
