So we're finally ready to kick off the Rejects contest, to cover the period of BJSC XI-XX, to get going we need your nominations.

Now, as the contest has grown so much since last year, things are going to be a little different to last year so make sure you read the following instructions/points before nominating:
  • If you wish to nominate, you must nominate at the very least one song from each contest you participated in. But, in order to create a better final it is advised that you nominate five from each contest you were in. If that's still not enough may may nominate up to ten per contest, should you feel it necessary. You don't have to nominate, but any of your songs that make the final will be deducted 15 points to make if fair.
  • In order to participate, you must have participated in at least one contest between XI and XX, though you may still nominate in contests you did not participate in.
  • As with the Best Of, nominations must take the following form. Ordered from 1 (favourite) to 10 (least favourite). Your top five nominations will receive 2 voting points, while your bottom 5 nominations (if you do send them) will receive a voting point each. Rankings are required in the event of needing to break ties and they will also be used to pick certain finalists. Nominations 01-05 receive two voting points and 10/9/8/7/6 points towards a tie-break total, while nominations 06-10 receive one voting point and 5/4/3/2/1 points towards a tie-break total.
  • Obviously, you may not nominate any songs that made the final of their respective contests. If you need some help remembering each contest's rejects, you can check the Songs Of thread here. Remember, nominations for this contest only cover the period from XI to XX.
  • You may, if you like, nominate one of your own entries over this period. But only one, so pick carefully.
  • The finalists will be decided in the following manner. The song with the most nominations from each contest will make the final and the remaining 15 finalists will be made up of the songs with the most tie break points overall across all 10 contests.
  • Nominations must be sent to me (AaronTM) by Friday 6th November at midnight, with finalists and final voting opening the next day. At which James will take over for the final, results should be the following Friday or Saturday.
  • I think it's fair to say Kristinia DeBarge and HIM from XVI are still disqualified and are ineligible for nomination.

This way it runs (sort of) along with the Best Of competition, reducing the amount of time before XXII, in an attempt to please the peasants those complaining about the gap. happy.gif

Oh yes.

BWO from BJSCV was ineligible from the last TBO because it was an illegal entry at the time, so yeah they are still DSQ'd

about to send my votes now biggrin.gif we really have had some ridiculous rejects in the last year...I mean, there are at least ten amazing songs in this lot, which should have made top ten in the final, let alone qualifying at all!!!
