That chart has some odd rules.

I think Orianthi will peak #11 next week - its decent and catchy but too guitar driven for today's market.

 

Galaxy / Forth One have been bumming it for quite a while now.

 

I also think Alex Burke will definitely be top 3 next week - and I wouldn't bet against #1 as it'll be quite strongly front-loaded too.

 

Looks like both Perry versions have momentarily stalled. They should both have a day of gains ahead of them, particularly the album version as album versions normally peak Thursday evening. The single version still has a shot @ #1 as I strongly suspect Murs will start to sink due to the weekend effect. He was also on GMTV yesterday morning (or today) so the effect from that will drop out tomorrow lunchtime (Friday lunchtime if he was on GMTV today) so I reckon with the gap being so close that'll be enough for TD 1st version to hit the top spot.

 

When that happens, I reckon TD 1st version could build quite a lead, but it might not be enough for Sunday.

I would say Big Brother atm is the best place to promote your music, sounds stupid but mostly teens watch?

The script-for the first time is a great track. it should do very well. airplay in dublin in immence. it will go number 1 in ireland and top 3 in the uk for sure

In the mid-week bit that they do at the start of the show, they'll combine all the versions, but when the do the live top 10 at the end, I think it'd chart twice.

 

It almost happened with Telephone a few months back. It charted at #1 in the mid-week bit at the beginning, because they combined the version at #3 and #11, but at the end of the show it ended up at #3, with Pass Out having a 3rd week at #1. If Telephone's single version had been one place higher, it would've charted at #3 and #10.

 

It won't happen this week though, because there's lots of possible top 10 hits released on Sunday. I'm sure at least one will get into the top 10 by 6pm on Sunday, pushing Teenage Dream's album version back out. But if both versions were in the Big Top 40 Show's top 10, I would hope that they'd at least play a different remix of the song or something.

 

And I bet all those people who don't know the ins and outs of iTunes like we do think there's a glitch or something. :lol:

 

Also, the songs by Orianthi and The Script have been played LOADS on Galaxy. Especially The Script's song. I'm already sick of it, and it hasn't been released yet. :(

Jedward did this and they hardly set the charts alight with their latest single

Plus, although 80% of Big Brother's viewers are Teens, that only equals about 7 teenagers, so not really worth the hastle.

Katy is likely to get to number 1

 

Although, this reminds me of when The Club Is Alive was released and ended up at 5 on Itunes by the end of the week.. and yet still ended up with a lead of 12,000
