The Buzzjack Song Contest is back after our short hiatus in a slightly tweaked form as the Buzzjack Unknown Song Contest!

 

 

So you finally get to join us in Morpeth Cove after nearly 3 years of waiting Ashton is actually getting to host! Buckle up and join us for the ride, it's bound to be a blast.

 

 

 

Confirmation is going to work slightly differently from it used to,

 

Just PM me the following:

 

- Country Name

- Artist & Song Title

- Youtube link [or similar] [An MP3 will do and i can upload it for you]

 

 

DO NOT POST YOUR CONFIRMATION IN THIS THREAD

 

 

I will post a list of countries who have confirmed but not what has been confirmed. Confirmed tracks will be unveiled in one weeks time when the final begins.

 

 

You may change your confirmed entry as many times as you want until October 12th at 7pm. After this time only people who have not yet confirmed may confirm and no more changes will be allowed.

 

Confirmation will close at 7pm on October 13th after which the final will begin.

I'm not going to start any hyperbole for fear of it finishing 23rd, but I feel like it's a worthy entry considering I didn't think that I was going to be participating anymore! If I hadn't found a great song, I wouldn't be coming back :P

Having been initally torn between two songs I've confirmed mine aswell. And no, this isnt set for a UK release in the coming weeks as far as I'm aware, nor is it a 2003 flop, nor is it by The Saturdays.

FSR Rontvia confirm Song A, and the next day, Kopecka attempts to confirm song A but is told that it is already taken. Therefore Kopecka confirms Song B instead. The day after that, FSR Rontvia changes their mind and decides to send Song C instead. How will Kopecka know that Song A is now available to use?

They won't. Unless i decide to be nice and tell Kopecka that Song A is now indeed free.

I was just looking at old threads from a year or so ago as a way of putting off working even more :P

 

On one hand it made me feel quite nostalgic and more enthusiastic to participate again, but also it made me realise something...around the time of reservations and confirmations being opened this place was a hive of activity. And I don't just mean the fights to secure certain artists etc. There was SO much discussion and banter in several threads, and in comparison it seems like a ghost town.

 

I know it seems like I automatically disagree with rules that are put into place just to be difficult, but I swear that's really not the case; I think that anonymous entries is a really interesting development, and one of the things that is tempting me back again. However it could be placing the integrity of the contest itself above the fun that could be had. Because I can't really see activity picking up all that much, as there just isn't that much to talk about if we can't discuss what we're thinking of entering :(
