THE BUZZJACK RECORD OF THE DECADE GAME

Hello everyone, Thisispop ran this game in each of the previous 5 years of BuzzJack's history but he's now left so I shall take over, for this year at least. I shall be using the same format as he did and changing very little, if anything as it's worked so well previously.

For the years 2001-2009 I will include the Top35 Songs from last years games. The previous years songs selection is usually taken from the top 35 of the BuzzJack Multichart of the Year, however JamesP didn't get round to completing it last year so I've put forward all the songs which reached number one on it and a mixture of songs hugely popular on BuzzJack and the years biggest sellers.

The winning 15 songs from a yearly qualifying round of missing songs will be added to make the list of 50 songs in each year for you to vote on.

For this you need to nominate songs NOT ALREADY QUALIFIED OR NOMINATED so please read the list below and other peoples nominations and choose up to three songs for each year. All songs nominated will go to the voting stage so you do not need to nominate any songs already put forward.

Please try and nominate tracks that were released as Singles (or at the very least gained substantial Radio airplay); Whilst with tracks that spanned over two years i.e. from December/January they generally count as representing the year in which it peaked in the UK (examples: Nickleback - Rockstar was ineligible for nomination in 2007 as it did not reach it's chart peak until 2008 in the UK, etc. However there are the odd exceptions such as Lady GaGa - Just Dance which was a worldwide hit in 2008 & picked up enough personal chart points to automatically qualify in 2008 even though it did not peak at UK#1 until 2009).

Feel free to make amendments to your nominations, however I will be adding songs to the spreadsheet as they're posted and will not be looking back, so if you are to add or replace songs please do it in a NEW POST.
