Posted June 25, 201312 yr From Popjustice: One Direction’s new single is modestly called ‘Best Song Ever’ (!) and will be available to preorder at midnight tonight.It’s the first song to be taken from their forthcoming third album and a clip of it will be played in a new trailer for their documentary, This Is Us, which will apparently be online at some point today.The single will be available to download on July 22 and will be released physically on August 19.According to this here press release, the song has “a sky scraping sing along chorus” and “expands their sound yet remains as irrepressibly infectious as ever”.Here’s a video teaser thing.

June 25, 201312 yr Definitely ready for new music from them! It doesn't sound as great as the previous two lead singles from the albums from that preview in the trailer, but I'm hoping for something FAB! :D
June 25, 201312 yr Doesn't sound brilliant from the clip, but they seem to be following the successful formula of the best two albums with a big-up tempo then a ballad. The film looks pretty good as well. Although however much they try and tell us it is not scripted, I'm not buying it.

As good as Rock Me is, I don't really think that would have been a good choice for a single. Something like Last First Kiss or C'mon C'mon would've been better to round the era off.

June 26, 201312 yr Ed Drewett seems really enthusiastic about this song on Twitter. Strange to see him writing a song for One Direction after writing for The Wanted on a few of their songs. Look forward to hearing it.
