Probably the most anticipated new show of the season, begins 24th September in the US and has been given a UK launch for the same week, 27th September on Channel 4

Saw the trailer on C4 earlier - excited! Mainly for Ming Na who I loved on ER way back. (And she's Mulan! ) Be interested to see how it ties in with the movies.

Now this is in the "International Forum", I'm assuming we can use this to discuss the US pace? (Even if it's merely days before). So pumped for this!

I didn't fully understand it all at the start (I've never seen any of the Marvel movies in full if that's a factor) but was really interested by the end. The team seem very good, a nice mix, intrigued to see where it goes from here.

Watched this yesterday (being sick I was able to watch like 80% of new shows' pilots! YAY) and it was rather nice. I couldn't figure out who the bad guys are for the first half of the episode. Oh and SO incredibly cheesy at times it's ridiculous.

Oh and omg what does everyone think that whole THING about the main director guy of the SHIELD? Like that bitch at the beginning said that he doesn't know / understand something or whatever. I personally think it's because he actually DID die in The Avengers and now he's a hologram or something like that. I mean he touched no one once during the episode iirc.
Found a quote: "He really doesn't know, does he?" "No, and he can never find out." SO f***ING MYSTERIOUS I LOVE IT. |

I do think he died, yeah, in fact that much seems obvious. I doubt he's a hologram though, seems more likely he's had some kind of tech implanted in him or somesuch, perhaps alien.

joss whedon: bound to be brilliant, buffy, angel & firefly 3 of the greatest Top 10 tv drama shows of all-time, Avengers & Cabin In The Woods 2 of the Top 100 films of all-time. Of course I might be biased
I hope I'm not overdoing the expectations....! |

I didn't like this. Thought it was too close to a bad episode of Heroes.

Just watched the opening episode on CH4, bit ropey to begin with, came together in the end, its got potential to get better.
