Posted September 17, 201410 yr New E4 drama from the creator of Skins & This is England. Anybody watched the first episode yet?
September 17, 201410 yr Watched this when it aired and the castings are incredible - Tommy Knight, Yasmin Page, Kierston Wareing, Jordan Stephens (who knew he could act so well?!) It really did seem like 'Skins' at the countryside with a murder mystery added in , but it does seem like it has a lot of potential so far!
September 18, 201410 yr I watched it, but I got bored as the episode went along, hoping it will improve
September 19, 201410 yr Just watched this before, don't think I can erase the image of a naked Jordan Stephens out of my head.
September 23, 201410 yr Just watched the second episode and I'm still finding it a bit slow in terms of the murder mystery. While it's probably intended that a new lead will be shown every one or two episodes, and the thing surrounding Jasmine was the centre of the 2nd episode, there's nothing really elsewhere to suspect anyone of the murder. The only real other mystery elsewhere is the tape of Rob and Jasmine. I don't know if it's intended to be like another Skins-type series with the murder mystery taking place in the background rather than the forefront but I did watch this because of the murder-mystery which is why I'm slightly disappointed at this stage.
September 23, 201410 yr The murder plot-line does seem to be a bit in the background which is a little odd to say the least.
September 23, 201410 yr I'm finding this a bit slow moving too. At the moment I'm finding it hard to distinguish many of the male characters from each other which is proving a bit confusing..
September 25, 201410 yr Watched episode 2 last night and it was great! Love her so much as an actress, but I'm just not taking to Yasmin Paige's character yet. Seems a bit wooden most of the time, but the scenes with her daughter at the end were quite touching. I think it's a good thing that the murder mystery isn't at the fore-front for the moment, will make the revelation all the more shocking in the end I'm sure.
September 29, 201410 yr Tonight's was definitely the strongest episode for me, due to plot developments and just generally more happening! The one thing I'm confused about is the timeframe of everything... how long is Janine/Elizabeth supposed to have been in the community? I had assumed she'd grown up with them all, but then thought she must've arrived recently (due to the stolen identity, if she stole it in order to become a vet) – but why is she cold to Ruth? I thought the rest of them had something against her because of something in their past?
October 1, 201410 yr I'm not sure what I think of this yet. It's very gripping despite it being slow and I want to like the majority of the characters and then they do something which makes me despise them again. It's also really confusing how everyone is related/linked to each other. Ruth is particularly bratty but I am slightly rooting for her. Rob is incredibly annoying - nobody is like him in real life, surely?!
October 1, 201410 yr Jordan from Rizzle Kicks - '...tell her I love her' :kink: Edited October 1, 201410 yr by Rabbit Heart
October 10, 201410 yr I've caught up on this from the beginning over the past week, I was quite enjoying it but that most recent (fourth) episode really gripped me. :o
October 14, 201410 yr I'm enjoying this a lot more now as I'm adjusting to what the show actually is. I do like getting invovled in each character's background.
October 14, 201410 yr Yeah, this is definitely getting into its stride now. I'd urge the people who gave up on it to give it another go!
October 21, 201410 yr Is the sixth episode the last? I've just watched the fifth (two weeks after watching the fourth, thinking it was the last and feeling underwhelmed) and it was by far the best of the series yet. The revelation was fairly well-played out and I think the actor of James has been pretty incredible throughout. Looking forward to the finale!
