Posted November 3, 201510 yr 11 singles, 44 rates. I've now worked out the scores, and will begin on the commentary shortly, kicking off the results tomorrow. In the mean time, what do you think has won? It could easily have been one of a few songs....What has come last... Well, that wasn't even close. No prizes for guessing. November 3, 201510 yr I'm hoping something like Move or DNA will win  Justice (a teaspoon of) for Word Up :snif:
November 3, 201510 yr I think Black Magic might win, but it'll be close between that and Move with DNA in 3rd, I'd predict.
November 3, 201510 yr I'm going to guesssss: 01. 'Black Magic' 02. 'Move' 03. 'DNA' 04. 'Wings' 05. 'Salute' 06. 'Love Me Like You' 07. 'Little Me' 08. 'How You Doin'?' 09. 'Change Your Life' 10. 'Cannonball' 11. 'Word Up' However, I reckon it could be close between the top 2 and either one of them become victorious. 7, 8 & 9 could be inter-changeable too. I would love CYL to out do the other 2, but I think the other two have a bit more support on here.
November 4, 201510 yr For me since the rate I have started liking Love Me Like You a lot more, especially now everytime I hear it I sing "F*** me like you!".
November 4, 201510 yr Author 11th: Word Up! Average: 4.43 1zk0ToEA8sY Feelin’ like it’s their Birthday; billy. (10), Lives in the shadow; JosephStyles (-1), Joe.(-1), LeeWallace (-1), Calum Hood (-1), Aled. (-1), colinn (-1), Danvicii (0), AdamAloud (0), Mike Sugafan (1), SeanGrey (1) No surprises here. This uninspired charity cover single that luckily managed a top 10 peak, but is one of their lowest selling efforts to date. Word Up!, I felt hindered the Salute campaign a little. Thank god for ‘Salute’.
November 4, 201510 yr Author 10th: Cannonball Average: 5.91 KlxoG9gNZU4 Feelin’ like it’s their Birthday; Ultraviolence1989 (10), Insomnio (9), Danvicii (8.5) Lives in the shadow; 666chris (0), Aled. (1), Taylor Jago (2), #psychic7 (2) From on uninspiring cover to another, I don’t find ‘Cannonball’ generally THAT bad, it’s just a bit forgettable, when you consider that we have actually had some half-decent X Factor winner’s singles. Having this and ‘Word Up!’ out straight away means we have a full-on Little Mix original top 9. :cheer: More coming tomorrow! (also - what awful artwork) (:hi: Tulisa) Edited November 4, 201510 yr by Joe.
November 4, 201510 yr Shame to see both of those out so early, Word Up is really fun and Cannonball is beautiful! Would be around 7th/8th for me! Can I just double check with you Joe that my votes were counted as I gave a 10 to both Word Up and Cannonball :)
November 4, 201510 yr Author Can I just double check with you Joe that my votes were counted as I gave a 10 to both Word Up and Cannonball :) Soz, you're probably not the only person I missed off when added scores to the round up. I've added them in. Your scores were definitely included though!
November 4, 201510 yr Not surprised at that bottom two. It's the only 2 in the whole countdown I felt confident about being in the right positions in my predicta above. Everything else is going to misfire! I find them both incredibly enjoyable though. 'Word Up!' I really like, in the same way that I really like The Saturdays 'Just Can't Get Enough' cover. It's fun, carefree and for charity, so not bad efforts. 'Cannonball' is still my favourite winner's single! I really love it and feel it's really under appreciated. :(
November 5, 201510 yr Author 9th: How Ya Doin’ Ft. Missy Elliott Average: 6.98 hT_HWIIKbG8 Feelin’ like it’s their Birthday; Ezra's Whore (11), JosephStyles (11), billy. (10), Slick (10), KWEEN_DEE (10), Taylor Jago (10), AaronTM (10), 666chris (10) Lives in the shadow; Calum Hood (0), Mike Sugafan (2), Halloqween (3), Cameron (3) ‘How Ya Doin’’ ended up with a lot more 10s than I expected for a song this low down. However, it’s still their lowest original song, and even guest rapper Missy can’t help this chart any higher here. I would agree that this is their weakest DNA single but it’s not offensive to the ears by any means.
November 5, 201510 yr Author 8th: Little Me Average: 7.04 wXhMqDotfLk Feelin’ like it’s their Birthday; Mike Sugafan (10), AdamAloud (10), SeanGrey (10), Liаm (9), Taylor Jago (9) Lives in the shadow; Electro Paradise (0), 666chris (0), Froot. (3),
November 5, 201510 yr Word Up! in its rightful last place spot. How Ya Doin'? way too low though, easily their best single for me :drama:
November 5, 201510 yr That's the correct bottom 3, none of them are very good. Shame to see Little Mix out in 8th, it's easily the best single (and song) from Salute, but I always knew it would struggle. Just so long as the vastly overrated Move doesn't win.
November 5, 201510 yr I really really love their cover of Cannonball, possibly my X Factor winners single of choice. Word Up is perhaps a deserved last place but not -1 worthy by any means imo. Hated How Ya Doin' when the album was first released but it's such an earworm, probably my favourite single from the first era now! Little Me, meh, rather bland.
November 5, 201510 yr The correct song is in last place for sure! I would have liked to see Change Your Life out by now, I think Little Me is superior to it out of the original ballads.
November 6, 201510 yr Author 7th: Change Your Life Average: 7.5 ifRoMGG8Wvs Feelin’ like it’s their Birthday; Pippa (11), Mike Sugafan (11), Calum Hood (10) Lives in the shadow; Electro Paradise (-1), Doing fairly decently in this rate is the first song released by the girls that missed the UK top 10. This got a lot of middling scores from Buzzjack, with few 10s and 11s but also very few low scores. I can see what the talky verses might have annoyed some people, but despite its slightly cheesy sentiment, I do think this is a good song. I remember it being hammered by Radio 1 when it was released. Which poor floppy hen missed the top 5?
November 6, 201510 yr Probably Salute for 6th place, or Love Me Like You. Would be shocked if it was anything else.
