Good GOD Silky's mini challenge was screaming "i need attention". it wasn't even funny. I am cringing so much right now

Wow, what a horrible reading challenge. Silky's section just seemed to go on and on and on... honestly, make it stop.

The whole reading challenge was a god damn mess.

 

The level of unprofessionalism. Far too much.

I'm actually excited to see the main challenge as well, Brook and Nina are surely gonna slay *.* I kinda wish Shuga was with someone other than Silky tho, I feel like her and Vanjie probs woulda been interesting

In the main challenge Silky will most likely be playing... Silky... and the judges will lap it up.

 

It's so embarrassing honestly. How is she even close to being a rounded drag superstar if the only thing she does is pageant drag and playing any character other than herself is way beyond her comfort zone?!

Okay now that I’ve seen the 12 minute sneak preview HOLY HELL THAT READING CHALLENGE WAS UNBEARABLE. There were probably only two queens who were actually good, but the illiteracy jumped out of the rest :drama:

 

I can probably see the deleted reads being much better than what was aired

can we talk about silky getting away with that racist comment towards plastique - saying she's japanese when she's said before that she's not :mellow:

That and Brooke's were the only funny ones! Truly carrying this season along with Nina but poor Nina flopped there oops

 

Silky was absolutely unbearable omg, even Ru was like bitch please stop!!

I'll be honest, this show rarely shocks me because I think most edits are predictable, but when Shuga didn't have to lipsynch shocked me. Usually when they focus on someone that really hasn't gotten that much screentime it usually equals them either doing very well or they're getting eliminated.

I was the exact same! Before they even announced who was Lipsyncing I was raging because I was convinced it would be Shuga and I didn’t think she deserved to.

It does seem quite weird to suddenly give her this burst of airtime when she was just safe but she’s so amazing I’m not complaining

I was sure that Shuga would be safe! She definitely didn't deserve to be in the bottom. Vanjie and Plastique were ridiculous and not funny ones. Vanjie was Vanjie, Silky was Silky... yet these bitches roll their eyes only when Plastique goes into her Asian accent. Okay...

 

A'keria definitely deserved this win because she was hysterical. Yvie got slightly overshadowed but she can slay the next challenge tbh~

 

A'keria, Yvie, Brooke and Silky are looking to be Top 4 in this bish. Shuga is coasting through always having someone else worse in the challenge. Nina getting overlooked and snubbed by the judges I fear she might be the next one to go Max style.

That reading challenge....

 

Akeria slayed that maxi challenge so did brooke lynn im really shocked tbh. My favourite facekini looks were Nina and Shuga.

I'd have been super happy with either Akeria or Brooke winning that, both of them properly let go, and in both cases that was what they really needed, they just had real fun and went as far as they could, which is what this kind of challenge needs. Akeria had my favourite look though, what a way to take an overused trope and bring it to us in a new light. When she hits it on the runway, she REALLY hits it. Brooke was stunning 11/10 as always tho, these two were by far and away the stars of the week.

 

On the other end of the scale, Plastique really did miss everything this week, there was hardly any character and the runway was pretty lazy. For someone who supposedly has their looks really going for them, she never pushed it enough on the runway and after a lot of hype, I feel like she had a pretty disappointing run. I can't say I'm hugely disappointed that she's gone oops. Vanjie.... tried but it just didn't get there, like Cheyenne said she started at 100 and then there was nowhere to go so it ended up with her just making noise over Plastique and I was totally lost, there was nothing to that scene other than noise :lol: The lipsync was great though, Vanjie slayed it and 100% deserved to stay.

 

One thing that's really frustrating me though is that Shuga got read for being Shuga, yet Silky has been praised to high heavens just for screaming the loudest and being herself. Like... Shuga wasn't the best, granted, but how can she be when Silky just screams over anyone and nobody gets a look in when they're segmented with her?? I guess it's on her to step it up and make sure she stood out but I don't think she was as bad as they make out plus her runway was stunning. Honestly what dirt does Silky have on Ru?? :lol: She is just so unlikable, I know I make this post every week but I swear it's more and more each week. Like she knew she was gonna be in the top and sitll had to get attitude at them DARING not to jizz over her terrible outfit, becasue of course she is such a talented queen and above everyone else :)

 

I'd have had Nina top over Silky but again I seem to make that point most weeks :kink: But I think Silky, even if they found her funny, should have got more flack for both the runway and not allowing her scene partner to get a look in because others have been read for that and put in the bottom before I'm pretty sure. Brooke did steal her scene but Nina had a great character too and they really bounced off each other, plus I know the judges didn't know so but Nina really helped Brooke get out of her head and into the character, that was a really great partnership to see.

A'keria was soooo funny. Brooke did well. Adore’s Nina’s runway.

The reading challenge was horrendous and the worst yet... Not to say there weren't some decent reads amongst all the tripe.

 

The main challenge was most probably my least favourite of the season so far and I didn't find it that funny? Most of the girls fell flat or were playing themselves (Vanjie/Plastique/Shuga/Silky/Yvie*). Whilst I was really glad to see Brook do so well, I felt like it was almost at the expense of Nina. Thankfully Nina managed to pull through despite things not going as planned. A'keria was really good and definitely deserved to win.

 

In terms of the runway, Nina kind of blew me away? I wasn't expecting her look and I LOVED it!! Her silloutette was the best she's done so far as well. It's so amazing to see Nina's growth in the way she pads/shapes herself and her makeup skills. :wub: Shuga and Brook's runways were also really good and I like Akeria's take on the surgery theme.

 

Vanjie's look was underwhelming. Plastique's look barely fit the theme and looked like something we've seen many times from her. Silky's runway was just....horrid? I'm so glad Michelle read her for it.

 

*Yvie did ok, but faded in the background in comparison to A'keria.

I actually found brook more entertaining in the challenge and her runway was incredible so she really should have had that win imo

 

I was also sure they were setting shuga up for the bottom 2 which she really didn't deserve, I thought she did well considering she was paired with THAT, I wouldn't have said she was playing herself either but I'm just glad we still have her for at least another week, what an underrated fave honestly *.*

Oooooh I loved the runway this week. I thought A'Keria did really well in the challenge as did Brooke, and whilst Brooke did have more of a complex runway, it didn't give me that WOW moment that I think you all saw. Nina's look was by far and away my favourite. Absolutely GORGEOUS! That polka dot lining? GET IT.

 

Unpopular opinion for this season but Nina's runways are some of my favourites? I always love her attention to colour and high concept. I know she's not super-polished like Brooke but there's such fun in what she does.
