Continuing a look back at the music videos of each era, we go now to True Blue which saw yet more hugely memorable and thought-provoking videos. We saw shorter hair, exotic dancing and Spanish flameco moves. Which of the music videos released in this iconic era is your favourite?

Feel free to also rank the music videos below:

Live to Tell

Papa Don't Preach

True Blue

Open Your Heart

La Isla Bonita

I think La Isla Bonita is probably my favourite of the music videos. Tbh I don't hugely rate the TB music videos (although it's one of my favourite Madonna albums).

I nearly voted True Blue it's one of those, it's so terrible it's actually low key kinda brilliant, videos lol.

1. Papa Don’t Preach

2. La Isla Bonita

3. Open Your Heart

4. True Blue

5. Live To Tell

the song is my least fav out of the 5, but you cannot deny the video is the best one by miles... Open your Heart!

04. True Blue

05. Live to Tell

The True Blue video is a chore but it's marginally more enjoyable than the movie scenes of Live to Tell.

The True Blue video is pish because in America there was a competition on MTV for a fan to make / create a video.

So I guess M and her team made a cheap one too.

1) Papa Don't Preach

2) Open Your Heart

3) La Isla Bonita

4) True Blue

5) Live to Tell

Surprised there's not more loving for 'Papa Don't Preach'! Madonna delivers a very believable and sympathetic performance as she characterises the song's narrator and the storyline is poignant and endearing. Love the glamorous dancing scenes too.

'True Blue' is low-key quite lovable and it matches the song very well, really living up to the 50s/60s girl group theme.

Obviously the 'Live to Tell' is quite basic but I think Madonna does a good job with what she has and the visual of singing alone in a darkened room suits the lyrical concept.
