Chart Commentary

"Hello again and thank you for tuning into the Top 40 Countdown by awardinary!

As is my custom, I want to extend a word of thanks to the following 9 people who viewed and commented on my personal chart last week: Sven10, SSP, JSG, Frenchie, seltinpixmile, AdamG, Santa Kath, Jade and danuary. Responses to your comments are in the below post.

It’s a non-mover at #1 this week as Regardless comfortably holds on for another week. Still no official chart impact, but we can see the song climbing each week closer to an official UK Top 40 chart peak!

There is a new peak for Prisoner which moves up to #3. The Track of the Week is awarded to The Weeknd thanks to a few weeks of successive climbs up the chart, and now peaking at #4.

The highest climb this week is the wonderful dance track We’ll Always Have This Dance. It moves up 17 places to enter the Top 10 here. The Top 10 is complete with Bicep’s single Apricots which climbs again.

There are another 5 new entries this week, the highest comes from an upcoming dance artist KSHMR which enters at #23. Steps are another new entry this week with their latest single To The Beat Of My Heart. Further down the chart there are entries from ATB x Topic & A7S, Riton X Nightcrawlers and Nathan Evans.

Kylie Minogue is the biggest faller this week with Say Something dropping 14 places.

It is time to bid farewell to Jax Jones, Steps, Eric Prydz, Love Legend and Troye Sivan.
