Jay-Z is not without promotion. He's been on Radio 1 all week (including the Live Lounge), he was on Jonathan Ross last night and there was a documentary about him on BBC 1.

yes I now know but at the time of my first post I thought all his promotion was just for his album/Run This Town.

I hate the weekend effect. Paramore and Taylor have both become victims of it. Hopefully they climb again next week.

Lostprophets - Rooftops was an interesting choice of background music, not something I'd have expected on X Factor :o

I heard two MJ songs as backing music - Earth Song and Beat It.

Mika was also used.

And Lostprophets as already mentioned.

 

It will be interesting to see how high up US will go after that performance. It was good, but not anywhere near as good as the SOF performance by the afro guy.

 

Also, Jay-Z (Numb/Encore with Linkin Park) and Coldplay (VLV) are back top 100. Is that due to the Live Lounge tour?

I think Simon Cowell's plands to imitate American Idol have peaked.....get an American in the competition! <_<

Probably because of Alexandra last year. There also seems to be a lot of previous contestants looking for another shot, another Alexandra effect?
