He is only really doing well on itunes though. I think he will be number 1 but Madonna will be number 2 by the end of the week. Looks like it will be a slow riser.

 

Her second release of the greatest hits Revolver should be an instant number 1 as if she appears on X Factor it will be that she performs.

Number 2 is not good enough - she had to have her 14th #1 with Celebration! :( It is not easy to get the 2nd single to #1!

The poster means it's difficult to get #1 with the second single when the first on the album has not got to #1. None of those artists managed it as there first single all got to #1.

WTF? I haven't even heard *of* this Taio Cruz song, let alone *heard* it?!

 

OK, I just Youtubed it, and it was exactly as I expected - another appalling R&B ballad. :puke:

Anyway and those panicking about Madonna, why? She has like 4 versions in the top 200, 2 of which are top 70. Her 'Celebrations - EP' is in the Top 3 on itunes albums chart (yes don't count for much but she must still be doing something). I for one am expecting her to be number 1 at least tomorrow's mids (Pre-orders etc...) She'll be Top 3 by Sunday at the very least.

So much good new music out there and coming up...... Shak's She Wolf, Leona's Happy, The Saturdays, Beyonce.... to name but a few. I'm predicting Shewolf will hover for a while in or close to top 5 until after Jonathan Ross Friday week then go No 1. Anyway even if it doesn't, Gypsy will if she releases that.

New albums from Shaki and Leona in next few weeks and Christina's is imminent. Can't wait

Taio's track is a total rip-off of will-I-am's heartbreaker its very mediocre shocking its doing so well. Madonna or Shakira please beat him.

Yeh exactly, or anything by (the despair that is) Tinchy Strida ( :lol: :puke2: ). I am just shocked at how many people must having dying to download it yestaday the way it went up the Itunes chart! <_<

 

I'm sorry, but THESE are the No.1 records, that WON'T be remembered in 10/20 years time...can you imagine!

 

Oh and you do realise Taio is a very well respected producer, singer songwriter. He moves with what's popular at the time, and seeing as his collaboration with Tinchy was successful, he decided to work with Fraser T Smith again and produce something even better imo.

Wow at Taio's lead, who would've thought it would be outselling Shakira and Madonna!

combining all the Madonna Celebration songs would put her at 6/7 in my maths. So good start for her. Tiao may peak too soon and start to drop while she is slowly working her way up.

 

I expect her to be number 2 or 3 in tomorrows mid weeks.

Yeah but she was top of the pre orders on Amazon last week so those will count as sales.
