For XXII at the moment I'm in two minds on either sending a demo of a track by an artist/act returning in 2010 with its second album (the same formula that saw Nonsuch's only victory to date); or an album track that I adore from an album I adore from this decade (as some of us will be getting in end of the decade mode).

 

Of course by the end of November I'll have probably selected something completely different.

Indeed, we have Christmas but on January, 7th, and it's HARDLY one of the most important holidays here. Plus there's a HUGE difference (I'd say completely different) between X-mas' celebration. Our NEW YEAR is your X-mas. :wub:

Oh Peter, didn't you learn from last time? :( The contest is never going to be late enough in December for people to be in the mood for a Christmas song :lol: The latest it could really be done (as the forums are absolutely dead on Christmas day and in the surrounding days, so it's not really conducive to a voting week) is with the final on the 20th of December - do you think people are going to be in a Christmassy enough mood if the contest were to start on the 6th of December? :P And knowing people on here, they'll be begging to have it start in November as soon as TBO is over...

 

I was quite surprised about how late people got into the Christmas spirit last year...considering we're bombarded with Christmas the day after Halloween, I would have thought that the beginning of December were an acceptable time.

 

I would think that I could maybe JUST get away with entering a Christmas song if the semis were from the 6th - 13th. My song last year was pretty rubbish, and there's a Christmas song I think I probably should have entered instead.

 

I know that 90% of potential hosts will want to get started as soon as TBO is over, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed :(

 

I don't mind if I flop! If the semi-finals start in December then I'm going to attempt it. If for no other reason than I've absolutely nothing in my head at the moment to enter :P

I have no idea about next contest...and it's not gonna happen until December, so by then I'm sure something good will pop-up.

It sounds weird, but before finding Buzzjack, I hadn't spent time in music forums for YEARS... I don't remember ANY pop 2004-7.
