December 20, 20159 yr I haven't seen the most recent US episode (but know what happens thanks to it being spoiled on my Facebook news feed -_-) and the whole thing does feel very un-Sheldon. I'll have to view it in context before properly judging it though. The show has always had a big focus on the characters' relationships anyway, it's never been purely a 'show about science'.
December 20, 20159 yr It's a CBS sitcom so it's always going to revolve around sex, no matter its concept. But you can't have nine seasons without relationship stuff anyway, it's a natural progression. I've made peace with that and learned to enjoy the show for what it is now.
December 21, 20159 yr I really can't. It's like a whole different show pumped full of estrogen. It's almost like Chuck Lorre's Sex and the City and it's becoming dummer every episode. Sheldon would NEVER do that in real life. Never. Ruined his character. If they wanted to eventually arrive at that point then it had to be gradual, continuing from the unaired pilot of him masturbating etc. It's never been said but confirmation is unnecessary. His actions speak louder than some retconning words. And speaking of silliness, has anyone noticed Sheldon explaining basic scientific concepts to his friends who also happen to be geniuses and astronauts? I don't think they need the refresher! December 21, 20159 yr And speaking of silliness, has anyone noticed Sheldon explaining basic scientific concepts to his friends who also happen to be geniuses and astronauts? I don't think they need the refresher!that's because part of Sheldon's character is he believes he is so much smarter than all his scientist friends. Especially Howard as he doesn't have a PhD.
December 21, 20159 yr Basic concepts though That's for the benefit of the viewer. The cast can't discuss concepts and theories to 15 million viewers who haven't got a clue what they're talking about. I don't watch the show for the scientific element and I'm pretty sure a strong percentage of viewers are the same.. My favourite characters are the girls though, so maybe I'm biased. Even though it's about scientists, it's more about their relationships and interactions with a society that may not understand them. It's natural that after SO long Amy & Sheldon would take it up a gear. He's learned that she needs more and I think this episode proved that finally his heart overcame his head. It didn't last long though and there's really no change in character as was evident at the end when he failed to acknowledged what had happened.
March 20, 20169 yr Amy and Sheldon forever  So they finally had sex! I'm not sure how I feel about Bernadette being a mother.
March 25, 20169 yr I don't like how they keep taking week or two breaks between episodes at US pace. Is there a particular reason for this?
March 25, 20169 yr I don't like how they keep taking week or two breaks between episodes at US pace. Is there a particular reason for this? 22 or 24 episodes to last between September and May means lots of breaks sadly.
March 25, 20169 yr Way too much esteogen. The show has changed too much from what it was about - a group of scientists.
March 25, 20169 yr the show is still about a group of scientists. most of the girlfriends are scientists too. loving the recent developments in the Shamy relationship
March 25, 20169 yr Aren't Amy and Bernadette scientists too? Yes Amy is a Neruo biologist and Bernadette a biolgoist I think
March 26, 20169 yr Honestly I'm sick and tired of people complaining of how much the show has 'changed'. It is on its NINTH season, the characters are bound to develop, get girlfriends and form relationships, get married etc, and the girlfriends couldn't not be part of their daily activities. Would YOU like to watch 9 seasons of 4 single men not able to land a girlfriend? I mean imagine if Raj still couldn't talk to women. I certainly would've bailed. So please deal with it or I dunno, stop watching?
March 26, 20169 yr it's michael's obvious trolling as usual. next time i'll be deleting the post. consider it a warning, sarah
