Its certainly a shadow of its former self, but it's still one of the best comedies out there.

i love big bang theory! probably the best thing on tv imo.

i definitely prefer the earlier series though, and so far i don't think series 8 is that good! they have completely changed penny (and i don't mean the hair, i actually quite like her hair short  ) they've changed her into a boring career woman :nocheer:

the episode where the girls go out but penny stays behind to work proved that!

I wouldn't say that's a bad thing. Eight years in showing growth in a character.

I fully believe we will see a pregnancy in one of our girls by the end of season8.

I actually really like the change in Penny. She couldn't stay a waitress at the Cheesecake Factory forever. She eventually had to leave neverland and it's good to see her succeed in something at last.

Regarding episode 15;

Was wondering if

Howard's mother would return home after they mentioned her being on holiday in Florida. Expected a bigger thing to be made of her death rather than just the last few minutes but I guess there's next week.. Sheldon's line was really sweet

.

The season overall is probably the weakest so far but it's still decent. Really come round to Penny's hair.

Just not feeling this show anymore. It feels really stale and all the characters have changed too much - look at Amy!

It is no Friends.

It's the closest thing to Friends right now, though, isn't it?

I know what you mean. There wasn't even an 'In Memory of' screen at the end of the episode which i felt was a bit :/

It is no Friends.

And that's a f***ing good thing.

Friends is shit, always has been and always will be.

Just finished watching episode 16. Probably my favourite episode this season so far! Penny and Sheldon always have the best chemistry, so to see them two together for majority of the episode was a positive thing for me.

Such a touching scene in the airport with Bernadette and Howard <3

Penny's hair........

When did Bernadette turn into such a nasty cow? She always had a bit of a temper, but now she's just horrible.

the show is back on the air! First episode has been shown in the UK (still on E4), and the US have got the first five already.

really hope ShAmy get back together soon, them arguing is

I'm watching at UK pace and haven't thought much of this season so far. Hoping it gets better.
This has been my favourite season since like season 5! I'm really loving it. Sheldon is on point this season!

Why is this all abot sex and girls and relationships?

I know Chuck Lorre isn't the best/ most intelligent man around but Jesus why has science been so marginalised in a show about science? I don't give a shit about Sheldon and Amy - and btw having more intimacy between them isn't character development, it's character assassination. Sheldon would never be able to be intimate. He is autistic with a hatred of physical or emotional intimacy.

Get back to the science or axe it!!

It's never been officially said he is autistic. The show has always had a leaning towards sex, even back in season 1. They are still geeks, but the show has been on the air for nine years now so they have to go somewhere with the story, they can't just be four guys forever alone.
